2. Also what do you think the crowd will be like?
3. Has anyone had any confirmation about the Wintertime enchantment for the castle?

weather was great. Sunny, I think mid 70's?
The place was crowded but manageable. Line waits were about 5-10 minutes but we also mostly stayed in Fantasyland.

I am interested to read what others have to say as we have not experienced the cookie thing.

JUNIOR CHEF – Plaza Pavilion
A free, interactive, baking experience for children between the ages of 4-10. Takes place up to five times a day on the patio of the Plaza Pavilion at the end of Main Street. Times are posted on a sign each day. Usually starts at 11:00 a.m.
As many as 20 children are invited to participate in each show and they get to keep the cookies they bake.
During the 25 minute activity, the young bakers are divided into two teams and given a section of the famous recipe and ingredients. Once they combine their ingredients, they help scoop the dough onto cookie sheets and the head Junior Chef Baker takes the cookies to Mickey’s Magic Oven for baking. Each child gets to take two cookies with them.
Between shows children get to decorate chef hats and coloring sheets.

Rain: Don't let it ruin your day...lower crowds, shorter lines...take a poncho and you will have a different experience, but still a great one! Mid-November last year...early morning I sometimes put on a lightweigh sweatshirt...but short sleeves basically all week...even at closing time! Year before I needed a sweatshirt in the evening too, but daytime was perfect.

Fresh candy canes...at the Candy Palace, when exactly they start making them...I do not know, but The candy making schedule varies week to week. You can call and find out what candy will be made the days of your visit by calling (714) 781-0112. The pre-recorded message is changed weekly.

Mid November crowds are usually pretty light...will be crowded on Friday afternoon the 16th when the Christmas parade, snow, etc., begin...and probably that entire weekend with the onset of the Christmas activities. But weekdays are usually great.

So far this fall it's been 2 days hot (80's) 4 days cold (60-70's) 2 days hot 4 days cold... at night it has been getting pretty chilly, definitely sweater weather at least, if not jackets. We are not expected to get much rain this year, and so far that has proved true - a handful of storms have slid past us to the north instead of dropping down like they should. I wouldn't worry too much about rain, it's going to be pretty rare this year and when it does rain it will be quick and gone.

I would, however, prepare yourself for crowds. You are going the week of Thanksgiving and a lot of schools get the whole week off (not so much local schools, but lots of out of town ones). With the introduction of Christmas the same week, I think you are in for a bit of company.

Two years ago it was crowded and in the 80's! We'll be there this year too and we've planned for crowds. I can't wait!!
