I am going to be doing some work in Okinawa and there is a possibility of adding two days at the end but no more. So my question is this; with the limited time I have how easy is transportation to Tokyo and how long would it take to get there? I can probable arrange to leave out of Tokyo at the end of the two days. I would also need to find a (relatively) cheap hotel to stay at. Any input would be great, this just came up and I'll be leaving in less than two weeks! Yikes!

The flight from Okinawa (Naha) to Tokyo (Haneda, Tokyo's domestic airport) is about 2.5 hours.

From Haneda, the Limousine Airport Bus takes you to Tokyo Disneyland resort hotels in about 50 minutes. Schedule and info is here: http://www.tokyodisneyresort.co.jp/tdr/english/sche/accs_bus_h.html

You would take another Limousine Airport bus to Narita (Tokyo international airport) when departing for the US.

If you have 2 days, definitely do it! However, if you visit in August, get ready for some hot/humid weather and some serious crowds.
