This is a summary of the event announcement from Walt Disney Event Services:

The 2003 "A Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics" event will be held May 15 - 18 aboard the Disney Cruise Line ship Disney Wonder.

The event includes:

* Exclusive Walt Disney Art Classics (WDAC) "Bon Voyage" party.
* An informative and fun WDAC concept drawing class
* A salute to famed Disney sculptor Kent Melton
* Behind-the-magic presentations with famed Disney Imagineer Alice Davis.
* Exclusive final night dinner with Academy Award-winning Disney Legend Richard Sherman
* Special appearances by such noted WDAC artists and sculptors as David Pacheco, Kent Melton and Dusty Horner.
* Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC) sculpture unveiling and retirement ceremony
* A special 10th anniversary of the Walt Disney Collectors Society.
* Limited Edition WDCC sculptures
* Event logo merchandise
* Walt Disney animation art and Disney showcase collection offerings.
* Merchandise signing opportunities with artists, including Alice David and Richard Sherman.
* VIP bus transportation from a select Walt Disney World resort location to Port Canaveral, Disney Cruise Line, and back.
* Mingle with fellow collectors and meet members of the WDAC team.
* Plus many more surprises to bubble up during the event.

Reservation timetable:

* Reservations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests who have attended previous Celebration for Walt Disney Art Classics event will have until August 1st, 2002, to make their reservations. After that date, subject to availability, invitations will be extended to additional Disney enthusiasts.

Package Options:

Packages begin at $994.25 per person, double occupancy. Single rates, 3-4 person rates and children's rates are also available.

Cruise and event packages include admission to convention events; a 4-day, 3-night cruise on the Disney Wonder, all port fees, taxes and gratuities. Packages do not include theme park tickets or resort accomodations before or after the cruise.
