We are planning a trip to WDW for the week after Thanksgiving 2008 (over a year away). We will most likely end up planning for PORiverside, but possibly the Buena Vista Palace. In your opinions, when should we book this vacation? Do they usually post any specials for this time of year early or all the speicals listed in late summer? I need to let my in-laws know - they are planning on going with us, but aren't into planning things early. I need some solid "evidence" to back me up! ;) I've already done TONS of research, I just need to nail down a time to book it. Thanks!!!

If you go to the FAQ of Mousesavers - Mary has posted when they've historically released 'specials' for various times of the year.
PERSONALLY, I make the reservations as soon as I decide to go, and then if a special rate comes out, re-calling and applying that rate. It's not like airline tickets where you have to pay a change fee, so it works out quite well, IMHO. I also have an idea of what kind of special it'd have to be for me to upgrade resorts - and if I'm willing to move resorts if the rate isn't available at the resort I'm currently booked at (since some specials have a limited number of rooms at some resorts).

AH! So, make the reservations and keep checking rates and "update" our reservations when the rates go down. I see!!!! I'll check the FAQ's too - thanks a lot!! I can't wait to nail things down. :)
