It's going to be a very different New Years Eve, this year.

I'm planning on staying in my hotel room till 12:30ish....at which time, I'll venture into the Parks. DCA is open till 1. Actually, it might be fun to see what DCA is like for the Midnight countdown.

But, I really think I want to just stay in my room at the zero hour.

Come out after all the craziness has died down, somewhat.

I've been through the Midnight/Sleeping Beauty Castle/Beach ball nightmare. Once, twice actually, was enough.

I'm determined not to do it again.

I will be in the middle of the mess, as always. Haven't missed it (except for 2003) since 1999. My oldest won't be joining us for the first time. He will be on his first day of patrol as a CHP officer. What a day to start!

We have spent the last 3 years in NOS (prior to that was in front of the castle every year, on the bench from noon on....)

When we first started this, MickeyDogMom was 14. She is now 22.

I checked the schedule for both the 31st and the 1st.....they don't have the special Midnight-ish (12:05 am?) Fantasmic! on the schedule.

You must be talking about lunchtime rather than midnight?

You must be talking about lunchtime rather than midnight?Disneyland stays open to 2am on NYE, but many empty out at 1230am.

We were there for New Year's Eve in 2004. Had lots of fun! However, there were actually a couple of scary moments because of the huge crowds. We will be there again this year. Looking forward to it. :)

True; yet I recall from last year, a thread that wrote of many woes about people who were not allowed into DL because they had limited out.

True; yet I recall from last year, a thread that wrote of many woes about people who were not allowed into DL because they had limited out.The woe came from 5pm to midnight. They reopened the gates at something like 12:15am.

One of these days I'll do New Years at DL...sigh... Just need the right company. lol
