How are the weekends in Feb? Crowded??

I am new to the discussion boards but am a big fan of MousePlanet. I love to read the DLR park updates. Anyway, I was thinking of planning a trip over Martin Luther King weekend (Jan. 19-22). I was just wondering how crowded it typically is at this time? We always go off season and avoid holidays.

I was at DLR for that same week, this year. The park was delightfully quiet tuesday - thursday, started to pick up friday, and then was the busiest i had seen it (i have only ever been in the off season) saturday-sunday. it didn't bother me, i scheduled a tour for the saturday morning and we left sunday midday once it started to get crowded. monday was medium busy. from what i have read about the summer season, it was not anywhere near as busy as it can get in july, but sat/sun you definitely wanted to have ADR it you wanted to sit down to eat, and you needed to put your FP strategies into play to ride the popular rides after lunch.

Presidents Day weekend very crowded and possibly the weekend before for Lincoln's birthday, but the first and last weekends of the month are not as bad.

Light crowds for the last weekend would be great! We are thinking of moving our vacation up 1 month, as I found some great flight prices on Alaska/Horizon ($894 for 5 people RT, which is about as cheap as I have seen it in a long time). We have to book by Saturday though, so we are still deciding if we want to do that. I am leaning towards yes. We have never been to DL during that time, would be an interesting change of pace.

Two years ago, we were there at the end of January for my son's 5th birthday. It was a really good time to go. My only complaint about this time of year is that you are likely to run into refurbs on E-ticket rides.

If you can work out a trip to have Tuesday and Wednesday in the park, you will have walk-on waits on everything all day long.

We were there the first week of Feb last year. The crowds were light... picked up a bit on Sat. but were didn't go into DL at all on Sat, only DCA. Be prepared for all kinds of weather.

We went the first week/weekend in February this past year and crowds were nice and light. I don't think we waited more than 1/2 an hour for any ride, even on the weekend.
