We will be switching hotels half way through our trip. We will be going from the HOJO to the Grand California Hotel. I just realized we don't have a car to move our stuff. Any suggestions? I thought walking our luggage through downtown disney would be weird. Get a cab to go a block?

I would get a cab, you are actually going a few blocks, since you will drive around the edge of the Resort to get to the Grand Californian entrance and check-in.

I moved from the DLH to Hojos mid trip a couple of years ago, and I had to take a taxi (too many bags by far to consider dragging them through DTD, the plaza and up Habour at the end of a long day). the taxi driver didn't think I was crazy - it cost about $7 as I recall.

That's one looooong block.

Get a cab, IMO. I don't think you would look weird carrying your luggage, but I also don't think you want to trudge all that way with your luggage.

Get a cab, the security check would be a lot less fun than it is now. ;)

What about changing hotels at the DLR? We are going later this month but we had to stay 1 night at GC and the other 2 nights at DLH. We wont have a car, so will the bellman bring our bags over?

yes, you just let the desk know when checking out and they will move your bags for you - very easy.
