If you purposefully try to circumvent the automatic word censor dictionary at MousePad by replacing certain characters (for example, using the $ dollar sign to replace the letter S), you may find that a moderator has gone ahead and substituted your word with * asterisks anyway.
This is because we do not let posters spell creatively those words we don't normally allow. If a word is on our censored-word list, it is there for a reason.
The best way to check your post for censored words is to use the [Preview Post] button. Any words censorable words will appear as * asterisks, and you can make the necessary changes.
Note that this also applies to configurable profile fields such as User Title, Location, and Signature.
