Hi Everyone
My family and I are heading down on Tuesday the 13th and returning home on the 16th. We will be at the park on the 14th and 15th. I understand the holiday season is not officially starting until the 16th (My luck  ) So here are the questions..

Other then IASW and HM do you think other places will have soft opening such as Reindeer Roundup and Toon Town being decorated?

Do you think the characters will be dressed in their holiday attire?

And what about all the holiday goodies....ugh my sweet tooth is so sad right now.

I am truly hoping for someone to say that on the 15th everything will be up and running. I am working all the holidays this year and was hoping for a little Christmas cheer Disney style :)

Thanks for any info. You are all the best when it comes to Disney info

Last year we went the 11th-17th. Our first day in the park was the 12th and the tree was up, Holiday music playing, they taped the WDW x-mas day parade with Ryan Seacrest. As the week went on everyday we saw more decorations the garland went up on main street and the castle was decorated.

Hope this helps!

Hi
Thank you so much for the reply. We were there last year at the same time :) I am hoping that even with the delay of the holiday season we still get a chance to see the Christmas festivities

I think you'll be ok to see most of the deco. We go every year that same week and the tree is always there and X~mas stuff is up! We will be there again that same week this year!

Thanks for the response Misdisney!!

Where will you be staying? We are staying at the Anaheim Desert in and Suites....I am praying that it will be okay. With a child in tow I wanted to be as close as we could be

Sorry for being a downer, but Disney has made a very specific decision, and that is to start the Christmas events a week later than the last few years. This is partly due to the larger emphasis on Halloween Time and that more and more schools are giving the first week of January off, expanding the Christmas season in the park.

There is NO chance for Santa's Round-up or finding the Characters in Christmas attire. Those are based on the schedule and will not start early.

As for decorations, you might find some areas decorated, or partially decorated before the 16th (other than HMH and iaswh, which will both be open and operating starting November 9th), but don't expect that much, a lot of it can be installed on the evening of the 15th after closing.

That's okay Darkbeer...I had a feeling we would not be seeing any of the little extras. I guess on the positive side.....the park will probably not be crowded.

I guess I am going to have to get my Disney Christmas through your pictures.
