We are going on the 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on 1/19/08, coming to Orlando a few days early. Trying to decide whether to do the dolphin encounter in Anguilla on the St. Maarten stop or to go to Discovery Cove before the cruise. One concern is the temps in Orlando v. the temps further south. Any other shore excursion suggestions appreciated as well.

I would also check out their policy on the dolphins. I have seen where a lot of the dolphin encounters in other countries are harming the dolphins.

Perhaps the "policy" of the Anguilla dolphin place had something lacking. Last week the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court ordered them to permanently close their Anguilla location. They have complied with the order of the court.

I called Dolphin Fantaseas and they are still open. I just wanted some honest opinions about either program or neither. I am not insensitive to animal rights issues if someone would tell me specifically (and HONESTLY) what the problems are. Otherwise, I would like to hear from anyone who has done either program.

I know you weren't asking for feedback on Dolphin Encounter in Orlando, but I'll just say that DH and I really enjoyed our time there.

I'll put it this way...we will be in Orlando for a few days and then doing the cruise. We would like to do a dolphin encounter at some point. So any input on that or other shore excursions is greatly appreciated.
Do you have any contact info on Dolphin Encounter in Orlando?

I just did a quick Google search and found www.discoverycove.com. That's the one we did.
