We received our tickets today for our upcoming trip. I was surprised how small they our, not much bigger than a movie ticket, and thought it would be nice to have something everyone could keep their ticket in.

Does anyone have any suggestions? They are 5 day park hoppers and the thought of someone losing their ticket makes me a little sick.

I have an Annual Pass (same size) and I prefer to keep it in my wallet along with my credit cards (the tickets are designed to fit into the Credit Card pockets). I pull it out to enter the parks and to get Fastpasses, but other than that, it goes in my wallet, which I consider the safest place for me. If I am buying something and qualify for a discount, then I need topull my wallet out anyways.

I have heard of the lanyards breaking off (and some of them are designed to do that to prevent injury). I just don't like the idea of hanging a $100 to $200 piece of paper around my neck. But then again, I don't wear jewelry like my girlfriend does.

This is what we use (http://www.mouseshoppe.com/product.cfm?ProductID=2574). They're plastic 'lockable' lanyard wallets.

They're waterproof so you don't have to worry about them on wet rides.

The side closure piece holds the box shut so you don't have to worry about something slipping out.

They're wider than many of the freebie lanyards that various travel companies pass out for free. I can carry my ticket, a credit card, a hotel key, and a few fast-passes in mine. And because they're wide it's easy to pull things out or drop them back into the wallet.

You can choose between transparent or opaque plastic - and because they come in a variety of colors, everyone in your group can have a different color. (This makes it easy to tell on sight whose is whose.)

And it doesn't hurt that I think MouseShoppe has terrific customer service.

We got these from Mouseshoppe years ago and love them. We are always getting comments on them and where to get them (always refer them to Mouseshoppe). My wife keeps her DL, CC, AP and hotel room card in it and leaves the purse at home! It's great to keep your fast passes in, too.

Ok, this is funny. Not to be the total downer in the group, but I saw one of these floating in the Jungle Cruise near the head shrinker guy last week - lanyard and all. Seriously, it was a clear one and I could see the ticket and stuff inside. I told a CM, not sure how they retreive that - or how it got there for that matter. So if your children wear them on ride that involves water, be sure to keep an eye on them. But good to know they float!

I'd probably take all of my kids' tickets and put them in my holder, but then I'm neurotically over cautious about stuff like that.

Off topic - Does anyone know where to buy those safety pin backs that won't fall off? I have a couple of pins from CHOC Walks and Club 33 and stuff that I can't replace that I am always losing the backs for, so I took them off and put them away at home. I looked on Mouseshoppe but no luck, maybe I am looking in the wrong place...? Anyone?

You can buy the locking pin backs in any of the pin stores in the park. I'm not sure where to buy them outside the parks though.

I just keep them in my pocket. I've never had a problem with doing that.

One convenient thing about MouseShoppe is that if you don't see something you're looking for, you can e-mail them and they can often get it for you.

If I suggest that MouseShoppe start a reward for referral program, then I have to stop giving people this great tip. Hmmmm, what should I do, what should I do? ;)

I'm glad y'all followed the link. I really do think the wallets rock.

You might want to check out Baggalini bags. Because I don't like anything remotely heavy hanging off my neck, I use a Baggalini cell phone bag that i ordered from eBags.com on sale for $12. This product line is made of extrememly light weight and durable nylon fabric. The bag itself holds my cell phone with a secure velcro closure. Behind the phone compartment is a flat zippered compartment with (amazingly) pockets to separate credit cards, room key and cash. Since I am the family fast pass runner, I hold everyone's park tickets and they slide right into one of the interior pockets.

To me the strap is the best thing about this tiny bag - Adjustable length and it can be worn around my waist or hang diagonally acrosst he front of my body. I don't feel like I'm carring anything, but the stuff I need is right there at my fingertips.

I use this thing frequently - it is great for sporting events and all traveling - when you need the phone, come money and keys - but want to remain hands free without losing anything.

I also found that my new digital camera fits into the phone compartment too. We'll be in DL next week and I want to take the camera and the phone. Baggalini also makes 2 styles of wallet bags which are also carried around the waist or across the body. When taking both the phone and the camera, I'll be carrying one of those.

Yes, that's it. I love it so much that I have in 3 colors (they used to offer it in what seemed like 15 colors). I've been using them for 2+ years and they all have worn well - all of them, even the light pink one still look new.

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the great ideas everyone posted. Everyone on these boards is always so quick to give advice and help people out. I really apprecaite it. We leave for DL in 33 days and I have gotten some great ideas in this topic.

Thanks, Chrissy

The best place will be in a wallet or purse I think. It's not foreign to you to feel or know that something is missing.

With a lanyard there can be a safety issue with it getting caught in something and coking you.
There are the tear-away lanyards too, but you risk it malfunctioning.

Funmom that looks like exactly what I need. I usually carry my backpack into the park but am so tired of lugging it around and having to get it searched. Thanks for the tip!

I found more colors for the Baggallini bag. The link I posted above is the discontinued version. The new version is 1/2 inch bigger in two dimensions and has elastic in the sides of the cell phone pocket so that it's big enough for PDAs. There are three fabric types shown on this New Products page: MyBaggallini.com (http://www.mybaggallini.com/shop/index.php?cPath=22) It's the Phone/PDA case.

How wide (or am I looking for how deep?) are the pouches from Mouseshoppe? I like the little plastic envelope type pouch I got with my lanyard, but it's starting to tear on the edges and I'm looking for something a little more sturdy, but not bulky.

Hmmm. Well they're a little wider then the height of a credit card, a little longer than a credit card, and between 1/4 and 1/2" deep - probably about 3/8". Can you see my fingers through the computer screen? They're about that thick. (I'm holding my fingers apart to show you, LOL.) I don't think they're a full 1/2" deep.

I like them better than the envelope pouches because they're sturdier. They're definitely "bulkier" than an envelope pouch, but I'm not sure I'd call them too bulky.

Of course I can see your fingers silly! :fez: Thanks for the info! Those don't sound too bad. I just remember similar items we had when I was a kid that were like, 2 inches deep and it was not cute wearing that around your neck haha I think I'll order one for our October trip!

I would make copies of all of your park hoppers and it keep it seperate from your park hoppers. I also would not trust young children to hold their own park hopper. Better to have a parent hold it.

this is so true -- i have picked up 2 tickets at disneyland and one at the magic kingdom and given them to the nearest fast pass CM. All 3 were child tickets.
