I just read on the board that if you stayed in september you can book for next years free dining.. so i called WDW vaction number and they said i still had to be at the resort to make the reservations. What?! i was never informed when i was there :mad:
What can i do -- i would like to book before they sell out and start saving and getting some friends intereted in maybe join me next year :crying:

I was there in Sept. too and I heard nothing about booking a trip for next year and getting the free dinning. I called WDW and was told that it was mentioned on the TV in the hotel room. I vaguely may remembering seeing something but I can't say 100% that I did. Who has time to watch TV? Not me. Some people mentioned they had a letter slipped under their door mentioning the "sale" and I didn't.Anywho, the woman on the phone said that I could have only booked it up until the night I checked out and they were open until 10pm!:( Well, Wendy Bird, if you find out a way to get the free dinning please let me know. I would also be curious about this. Do you have to stay at certain times next year??

This was an experiment Disney was trying. They had selected two resorts only to make the offer. They placed notices in each room. If you were a guest in that resort and you made a reservation for the specific period next year and paid the deposit prior to your checking out of the resort you could get the free dining.

If you were at any resort other than those two the offer did not apply. If you left prior to making the reservation you could not get the offer.

Personally if it were up to me not only would I do away with the free dining, but I would very seriously make changes to the dining plan or even do away with it.

I was at Movies from 9/2/07 to 9/8/07 and they left the offer in our room. We did not use it as just could not go back that soon. Wish I could have.

I checked in at Pop on 8/31 and got the flier also. I read that was the first day that the fliers appeared.

I stayed at the Polynesian and no letter was given to me or slipped under my door in my room. When I called they said I had to book before I left.:( I do know that the Poly was one of the hotels that was offering the special. I can't be too sad as I am going on a Disney Cruise in Sept. 2008, but to extend it a week in the parks would have be lovely!:D

Two resorts got the flyers but any Disney resort guest could book during the applicable times during this year's free dining as long as you did it before you left.

DH discussed it and he said to do it because we could cancel if we needed to. I told him, if I book, we are going. :~D We decided against it. :(

I had the flyer on the table in my room at AKL.

So much for checking the flyer was that was on your table when you first arrived into your room. Heck, I had two on my table when I was there for Epcot's 25th at Pop Century.
