in another thread they talk about this site as somthing close to vmk. Could someone tell more, cost, games and if you enjoy it. thanks for any help

Fantastic site. Many more games than VMK and good ones too. Plus you can have Games in your rooms that you get with credits. New items in the store all the time. Chat is an issue at present and the Wife and I find it not a missing piece, can do wothout it. (They are reworking it.) There is a huge amount of adults on the site (see Webkinsinsider.com for the best forum).

Cost is free when you buy a webkinz pet (see Amazon.com where we get them for about $8. (We have 17 so far haha.) You get 2000 Plus credits (Kinzcash) a Room and very special items relating to the type of pet toy you buy. RAREs are sold all day in the Curio Shop, a different selection every hour.

You choose your own wallpaper and flooring to change the room themes (there are many)

There are way too many original features to describe...lots of really creative art and the furniture is a kick. We are there all the time these days and to tell the truth so are many many former VMK players and ALL my VMK friends list. Oh well.

HIGHLY recommended. Frankly for asorted reason VMK dropped the ball (Though it still has killer art, it's just not as fun and absorbing as Webkins.)

Shining Stars is a not so great knock off idea that is very weak in comparison but maybe ok for kindergarten tykes where as Webkins is for all ages. (I'm 65!)

btw: Way too many games to list. All kinds from original board games and old favorites like Battle Ship , the best on the web!...and Checkers etc. to tons of Arcade Games and many original games not found anywhere else. All are creative, action packed and well designed. Also there are jobs to do to get credits and a farm element where you buy seeds and grow your own crops for food for the pets and to sell back to the store. Over about a week the plants grow as you take care of them. Awesome stuff.

Single use code yes. It does give a bunch of goodies though when you get it loaded. IF you bought the Pet of the month (Green Frog) it will give even more exclusive stuff IF you enter the code after Oct. 1st. (A new program) Get the right Frog though...there are choices.

Hallmark is the main store that I'm aware of.

Kind of lookinf forward to something on sale in the 6 o'clock hour...a Hot Air Balloon for the pets to fly around in. :-)

There are also trading cards some with free Pets. We buy those by the case though.

Just to elaborate the account is good for a year after you adopt your first pet online. If you adopt a second pet the account is extended a year from the date of the second adoption.

Most stores will also have a small selection of Lil'Kinz. These are slighly smaller and cheaper than Regular Kinz but have the exact same account benefits (their on screen avatar is just a bit smaller). as the first poster said you get 2,000kc with the first pet. You generally need to buy a bed first (supposed to help with health points)so it might easier to buy something like a chocolate lab that comes with a bed as a special gift.

I definitely agree that there are tons of games, something for everyone!

Webkinz report

Off to the South Bay Galleria I went to the Halmark store to see what they had to offer. now I must stress I was just looing for stuft anamals, there are other online anamals out there that are not webkinz so please read the tag. They have them for $11.99 and $13.99. I bought a cute pug dog.

I am a 35 year old male and I still not sure if this is a hit or miss with me. I'm still playing so that is a good sign. As for my inputs so far. Not enjoying the games that they have. I enjoy the games at yahoo, mouseinfo, and vmkforums better. I am enjoying the dice game and the trivia.

I got lucky and found the 5 wishes game, the search for the gem game and a spin game that you get to do once a day. And there is no interaction with people as you can only talk with point and click list of words.

Put a pool table in your room. The pool game is the most realistic I've run into.

There's lots to find so look around for all the attributes.

I don't know about competeing with true adult oriented gaming but if you're a kid at heart like me and Wife there's alot to play. I like the Checkers which I put in my rooms and the Battleship in the bathtub you can put in your room as well. The Wife plays darn near everything. haha.

I like to do the rooms and the farming most and play the games to get the credits for that stuff.

They also have Charms and a section of play for that but it's not worth the trouble. You can only do ONE thinig every 6 hours. Whoever figured that outr was a genius.

LilKinz are very popular and prttey cute to play in the 'world' of webkinz and they are very inexpensive (especially on line.)

Trading card packs are $2.99 but we buy by the case (36 packs) for $55) it includes a virtual pet with all the benefits (just not the toy) and thousands of credits and furniture etc in each box. We have a ball entering the codes and claiming the goodies. We'll never grow up I guess. :-)

I can't beleive you're not enjoying the games! Look through the tournament area as they have the battleship game the duck is talking about. Alot of the tournament games have the pull down menus so you can trash talk your oponent (this might be more up your alley).

If you like the Bathtub battles in tournament area you can buy one to put in your room (like Doodle duck said) so you don't have to worry about other players wigging out etc.

There are so many games I can't beleive you haven't found a couple you like! If you haven't already try:

Lunar Lugbotz for old school Pong type fun
Hungry Hog if you like Pac Man
Picnic or Ant Mania if you liked the cell phone worm game
Either Cash cow 1 or 2 or Color Storm if you liked Tetris
Zacky's Quest if you liked Super Mario for Game Boy
Zingoz Pop if you liked Bubble Bobble

I'm sure you already figured this out but make sure you go to the daily activities to see if there are any worthwhile Hourly activities.

I guess saying I dont like the games was wrong, it should have been I don't like the payout of the games. Got up before work just to do the one a day, so that when I come home tonight I can do them again:D. Haven't even loged on to vmk sence I have started this game.

week 2 report

Still playing, but loosing interest. Went out and bought the boster pack of cards and only won 200 credits.boo hoo for me. Hate that the game time is three hours ahead. Do enjoy the first cash cow over cash cow #2. enjoy Dizkinks but people never play full tournament games with me, the just seem to leave when they are not winning.

Ahs in the Del Amo mall has changed to 90% hallaween and the webkinz cost more there than the halmark store in the Galeria. Have not been wining E bay bids but I know my bid have been on the low side.

I stay out of the Tournament area for the same reason...I WILL win the Battleship and Checkers (most everytime) etc...but got real annoyed with the kids just bailing out when they are losing...that's why I put the games in my room and play the computer...even though the comoputer CHEATS! haha

Prices: Amazon can't be beat...many dealers there who bottom out the price.

Trading cards...we buy by the box (36 packs) for $55. Get many thousands of credits, Rare furniture and a free webkins virtual pet to boot.

Glad you are still playing anyway :)

Despite the fact that I have bought 5 cases, the cards are a little bit of a gyp. I've seen single cards go for as much as $5.99 in card shops.

I'm still missing one card from the online set and there is no possibility of trading my doubles or in my case quintuples. I have like 4 trading card beds but not the whole set of furniture. Likewise with the Game room. Checking with hundreds of people I've yet to find anyone who has won an entire theme as they havelisted in the prizes. I haven't had to buy groceries since though :)

The only game that I've had issues with people leaving is the Quizzies game in the tournament area, which is a shame because its the best way to earn cash.

I do suggest buying some seeds at the W shop. Any food your pet doesn't eat you can sell back.

If you want to friend me(click on the cell phone in the lower right corner) I can send you some coupons to use at the W shop. My name there is merryweather20 as well.

I'd offer the same to the duck but he's probably swimming in coupons if he's bought that many cases :)

P.S. I really think Zingoz Pop (near the bottom) has a good payout.

Thanks...the Wife gets most of the coupons. I get the Game Piece set and sometimes the Free Pet and she gets all the other stuff. :-) Occasionally I pull a few random packs out of a box. Lots of credits in those boxes.

I make all my credits pretty much in the Checkers...a few hundred plus a day plus the Dailys. That's enough for me. I sell a lot of food back as well.

Putting in the POTM this evening. Got it as a free pet in the card pack.

People leave the Battle Ship game a lot. I've yet to finish one there in the Tournament place because they leave, usually when I get their 4th boat.
Makes 60 credits in the In Room game so who needs bad players.

There are no more Quizzys left for me to answer so I maxed that...oh well. I like to move the furniture and make rooms. Easy lifting. :-)

Really funny (I think) last night at Disneyland I had my first REAL Checkers game...against a guy from LA on Main Street. Just prior to my finishing move he left the game when his frinds called him! haha. I can't win for winning.

week three report

I have know idea how people win the bingo so fast. Even with the extra balls a one ball game should last longer than three days

Is the school new? found that this weekend? On jobs I like the hamberger maker, I have done well with that

I still hate that time is off, I loose out on stuff due the webkinz time being 3 hours faster than PST

The only VMK time I have used was to get the new items this Friday

Bingo is won by hoarding the Free Ball coupons. A Win will take up to 80 of the coupons. I don't bother to play it...with out the coupons small chance.

Yeah! It worked I sent you two presents and a coupon. If you don't like either of them you can sell the presents back to the W shop for some extra Kinzcash (even though you can't buy either there).

You can sell the coupon back to the W shop for 5kc too, but its better to wait until you want to buy something. Then when you're in the check-out you just drag and drop the coupon onto the item you want to use it on.

I like having a trampoline and a bath-tub for a quick boost in health points if need be.

With the TV you can make your pet walk over to it and it will turn on and give you a choice of shows, you can also buy a Webkinz studio under toys and games and make your own shows to watch on the TV.

I'll send you some more coupons this week :)

one month report!!!!!!

Well one month has come and gone and I am still playing this game everyday.

Somthings that I have learned,

I wasn't going to buy a charm, but you should spend the mony for that to unlock all parts of the game.

Spend the money on a very large garden, it time it will pay for its self

I love the first cash cow game

Still not happy that webkinz time is three hours ahead, I do loose out on some of the hourly prizes

Not sure why I am spending 50 kinz (150) a day to do the school chores but Im hope for some payoff. I am a level 3 in some of the classes

The phone has to be the same color as who your trying to find. (mine is red now)

I'm not sure about the academy either, perhaps it will be a requirement for Employment or daily activities in the future?

I've been playing the charms, everyday 3x up to September then once a day thereafter, but I've yet to get a full set of forest charms. There a several people who will just sell the charm code on e-bay, since you need the full set to be able to collect all the forrest charms, this might be a good route for you being a dude and all (not sure how much you've gottenn yet)

I did the pet of the month for October and got the daredevil unicycle chair which is cool but I was really hoping for the Doughnut tree. Maybe I'll have to get a black bear this time :)

It is Wed. the 28th and I have not been able to log on to webkinz for more then 24 hours a blank green screen. Does anyone else have this same problem. Its a webkinz plot to destroy my garden with weeds(lol):D
