Hello,

My wife and I are going to Disney World for the fourth time this November, and I'm keeping a list of the "little things" to try and see that we haven't tried before. What I mean by this is I've discovered there's this tasty treat that everyone keeps talking about that we've never tried, the Dole Whip (I'm sure you've heard of it :p ). I've also got the newly announced Mickey's Mystery Pin Machine on the list to go check out.

I'm wondering what "little things" everyone likes to see or do at WDW that we may have missed.

Thanks,
Loman

There are a couple of places at Epcot, where you can send neat e-mail postcards, for free. There is a neat one in the Mexico pavilion, right next to the Kidcot table. There is another in the Imagination pavilion, after you exit the Figment attraction, or you can enter through the gift shop.

MK - Have lunch at Cosmic Ray's and enjoy a set from AA Sonny Eclipse. On another day, enjoy a turkey leg for lunch from the cart in Liberty Square.

Epcot - Stay in the World Showcase after IllumiNations, and walk against the exiting crowd. Once the masses have left, you'll have the very atmospheric WS all to yourself. And since it's just adults, stop for drinks at the Rose & Crown Pub before the show, and take your drinks with you out to the WS.

Rent a Water Mouse boat at the Contemporary Hotel Marina, and enjoy an hour speeding around the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

Last time we did the email postcard from the Imagination Pavillion, I've added the one in Mexico to the list for this year.

I didn't know there was an AA lounge singer in Cosmic Ray's. I just went and looked it up and it sounds great. Added that as well.

The Water Mouse boats were something we've been talking about and plan on doing this year :D.

Thanks! I hope many more of these keep coming in.

If you look under the fronteirland train station in magic kingdom, there is a support labled "smith" after a wooden leg named smith from mary poppins. i thought it was amusing. another thing is to look for hidden mickys. its fun and addicting, you should try it.

Here's another one. For a nice afternoon break, try the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. It runs from 2-4:30, and you can make reservations through the dining number. Maybe on a day you plan a big breakfast, for a light meal instead of lunch.

At Epcot Go see Myuki the candy lady in Japan. She has a cart across from the temple where the Taiko drummers play in Japan She is In front of the entrance to the
Mitsokoshi Department Store . All her creations if you get picked are free. Try to get there about 15 mins before her show.
Go see the Sounds of Liberty inside the American pavillion and see the Drum and bugle corp. Inside America, there are. props from the upcoming National Treasure 2 movie. Go see Impression de France its a wonderful movie and have some pastry at the near by pastierre shoppe.
Visit the Stave Church go inside and learn about the vikings this is in Norway.
In China watch the acrobats and go inside to see the Wonders of China next door is a really neat exhibit on the Clay Warriors.
In Italy or England you may find the World Showcase players. They are really fun to watch. See the British Invasion if you like the Beatles.
In Canada visit the gardens and see Off Kilter play.
In Studios
Go see Narnia and try to catch some of the streetmosphere people. They are quite good.
AK See Nemo Show and Festival of the Lion King.

At Epcot ......Go see the Sounds of Liberty inside the American pavillion and see the Drum and bugle corp.
Slight correction, Voices of Liberty. I don't consider a trip complete unless I've gotten to see at least one set from them. I'm not a big floor sitter (actually, it's not the sitting on the floor that's an issue, it's the getting up off of the floor that is!). But I will sit on the floor for their show. To get the full effect, you really need to be under the rotunda part of the 'lobby'.

And I agree with most of other Epcot suggestions here - all the little displays and 'museum' areas. If you 'poke around' the different pavillions you'll usually find some sort of hidden treasure.

I'm more of a pole leaner for this show, but I'm with you - never miss it! Also another vote for the band Off Kilter, that plays in front of the Canada pavilion several times a day. Great guys, great music, bagpipes played in a whole new way!

When you've seen so many burgers and fries and pizzas and hot dogs you are heaving at the thought of more, find the little food cart at MK sort of behind the Haunted Mansion (I think?) and discover foil wrapped jacket spuds and tasty salad and fruit bowls. I thought I'd found a little bit of heaven!

You can also send e-postcards at Mission Space and Innoventions (on the Land and Seas side, I can never remember which is East and which is West!)

Try all three flavors of frozen sodas. I liked the blue raspberry one the best.

Also, you can count the different types of wildlife that you see. I was surprised and elated to find turtles swimming in the pond (creek?) near the bus stop at the Beach Club.

As you enter the American Pavilion on your left there is a picture of a airplane. Stand 5 or 6 ft away and walk back and forth in front of it and see what happens. Its pretty neat.:)

Mokat- where does one find the frozen sodas? Those sound yummy! Did I miss a post where it stated that? Thanks

I'll add in my two cents - if you have never seen the Campfire Sing-a-long and Movie at Fort Wilderness, it's a really fun show, especially if Sundee is performing. I've been at Fort Wilderness at least once a year since I was 5 (I just turned 20 a couple of months ago) and I always love seeing that show and interacting with the families there.

Oh, and you can get a frozen soda in several shops throughout the parks. My favorite is the Frozen Coke and I know at AK at the intersection by Asia, right in front of the new Yak and Yeti restaurant is my favorite place to cool off with one. They sell souvenir straw/spoons with Pluto dressed in safari gear.

Yup, just like Chris said. :)
We bought them in Fantasyland near the Carousel, Tomorrowland across from the big wet spinny globe (Cosmic Ray's?) and also in Future World at EPCOT. I don't remember exactly where we found them there (too excited to pay attention), but I know we were on our way to the boat to World Showcase.

You get them for "Free" if you stay at Pop Century. They aren't really free, but if you get the refillable mug you can always have that.

Pull the rope by Indiana Jones!!

Go see Tink at her store in Fantasyland. Look inside the key hole of the drawer in the vanity and you can also see her zooming around the store.

While on ToT and you drop to a level where you start to shake look to the sides and you can see the ghosts of the people who never returned!

Yeah, I love pulling the rope at Indiana Jones! Of course, whenever I am there with other people, it never works!

Also, try to spot the Tower of Terror while you are in World Showcase! Hint: Stand between the Odyssey center and Mexico!

Singin in the Rain umbrella on Streets of America near the car stunt show at MGM. I love it!!!!!

I agree with those who mention Fort Wilderness and it's activities. My husband really didn't want to go to WDW when we went the first of May because he isn't a big park goer - but he loved FW and it's laid back atomosphere.(we camped) I second the campfire and movie. I'd go to FW from MK though and go by boat. It's an awesome ride and gives you great views! Especially if you're heading over around sundown! If you time it right, you can see the water parade from the beach, and the fireworks from MK before you hop back on the boat back. Loved it all!

Go to the Boardwalk in the middle of the day. Depending on the day, you could virtually have it to yourself. We rented a surrey bike and took a trip around the lake without worrying about running into anyone.

Winter Summerland also had very few people early in the day when we visited there. We were able to play and take lots of pictures without feeling rushed.

Riding up in front on the monorail is a treat.

The first time we went to Disney, in 2004, we went to Downtown Disney on our arrival day. As luck would have it, there was a kids' dance party on the stage in front of the lake. We got ice cream and watched our son dance along with the other kids.

I second the board walk its a great place to go and relax. But also try it early evening just as the sun is setting its so nice.

Also i tip which i got from these boards, have a dole whip in fantasy land in MK or even the Dole Whip Float, that is so refreshing.

And as other people have already said Hidden Mickey spotting is the best, and you will get addicted to it i am sure, plus id recommend people get the book as going out to look for HM without it is dam Near Impossible.

Slight correction, Dole Whips, and Dole Whip Floats are available in Adventureland.
