It had been brought to my attention that if I purchase my hoppers though the gay days web site the tickets are convention tickets and are less expensive. Have you ever done this? My DH is insistant that we will be on a "mailing list" and receive tons of mail. What I mean by "Mailing list" is a list like any other. Real Estate, timeshare, win a car....etc. You know like when you see a contest box and drop your business card into it, you get tons of mail from it

There are a couple open threads about this topic, but short answer is this:

You can buy them with no strings attached. You will not be put on a mailing list. It is simply a group rate.

I purchased tickets through them for our trip in November. They are sending the tickets out next week. I would purchase them, they will save you lots of money! :)
