Is too early to contact a Travel agent? I'm having fun researching everything, but I think I want to leave the actual booking to a travel agent. I'm not going for 3 years so I can save and have the vacation I WANT! I'm thinking 18 months in advance but I don't want them to say HEY dummy we cant help you yet! :)

I think a lot depends on what time of year you are planning on going as to when you should call. The next year's information usually doesn't come out until around August or Sept (as far as rates go - and that is an I THINK kind of thing). So, if you plan on going in December of any given year, then you can call around August or Sept the year before. Otherwise I don't think you need to make arrangements until about the year mark. I stopped at a travel agent to see what prices might be available for July 08 and they told me their agency prices weren't posted yet, to try back in another month..... next time you are near one, pop into a travel agency and ask them how far in advance you can start getting them to book your trip. They won't mind answering your questions cause then you'll know exactly when and what to ask and it'll make their job easier!
