I'll be sending a couple of Fairy GodMailer postcards the first week of November... if anyone would like one sent to their kids at the same time, let me know!

You probably want to PM me your info so you don't have to post it... send me your address, kids names, any favorite characters, when you'll be visiting, and any other special info like birthdays or first visit, etc. I have a neat Disney font on my computer that I usually use and I'll mail them from inside the park so they get the special stamp.

FYI, there is no longer a special postmark if you mail things from Disneyland, it is the standard basic postmark nowadays, and has been for years.

Basically Disney collects the mail for all the boxes in the parks, and then lets the postal carrier pick it up when they makes the daily rounds from a central location.

My mom mailed a card to my daughter from inside the park in the Spring and it had a special rubber stamp in addition to the postmark itself. I can't remember exactly what it was... it was related to Dreams in some way, it may have been a YOAMD type of stamp. During the 50th it came with a 50th anniversary stamp on it. My mom mails all of my daughter's birthday cards and such from in the park just for giggles. Both were in addition to the Anaheim PO postmark. Is that not something they always do?

It's kind of a pay it forward type of thing... Say you have a trip in September to go to the park and you let others know you are going. Someone else has a trip to go in October and asks if you would mail their kids a postcard from Mickey while you are at the park. Then they pass it on by doing it for another family going in November and so on and so on. I live right by the park (as my location indicates) and I get asked occassionally either on the boards or from friends coming in to town to send the kids a postcard from Mickey. I usually write something like

M-I-C See you real soon!
K-E-Y Why? Because you're coming to Disneyland!
Love, Mickey

for families who are surprising the kids and revealing it with the postcard. I have a neat font on the computer that kinda looks like Mickey wrote it and the kids always get so excited when they receive them! If I am going to do one already, it is no biggie to do several...

That sounds like such a cute idea, even if they don't always do the stamp (I bet City Hall could tell you if they are at the time or not). I'll have to remember it when we get closer to our trip next year.
