[ i've been a lurker .. so this is my first post ]

Mostly I wanted to say thanks to MousePlanet for all the tips and current info.

This was our first time staying at the Disneyland Hotel. We've stayed at Grand Californian (when it first opened) and Paradise Pier on other visits.

Our room was comfortable (12th floor of the Wonder tower). The main bummer was how much noise came from the room next door and the hallway. Two days at 7:00-7:30 am a young child started running and screaming, which unfortunately we could hear all of.

Our time in the parks was great! Somewhat busy on Saturday and Sunday. Hardly busy at all on Monday. And we found the Dream FastPass CM Monday morning! (to the left of the castle).
Finally got to ride Finding Nemo - I refused to stand in the line until it went down to 45 minutes or so. Neat ride.. but i'm probably more of a space mountain girl anyway.

Food: We ate at Napa Rose Sunday evening and had a wonderful meal. Some of the best food i've had (of course one of the more expensive meals i've had - but I expected that). Amazing service.

Blue Bayou on Monday lunch time.. We were able to walk up on monday around 11am. A number of people turned around and left when they found out Blue Bayou wasn't serving their Monte Cristo sandwiches that meal (some kind of unspecified kitchen problem). Our food was good.. I didn't see the split plate option on the menu anymore (which i did see last summer).

Not sure what else would be useful to know - but next time we'll probably go back to staying at Paradise Pier (or possibly GC) - seems like a better fit for us - a boring adult couple :)

Long live the mouse.

Adult couples aren't boring :D

Sounds like a great trip, between meals at Napa and Blue Bayou and staying on property. Glad you had fun~!

Wow, sounds like a wonderful time. I wish I could take time out with just my wife and I to go to DL without the kids. Of course, with 4 kids we might as well vacation in Boise since we'd probably spend most of the time trying to catch up on sleep. :) (no offense if you're from Boise... my brother lives there).
