Im not quite up on the best places to look for deals and when to find them. I checked all the main sites through tripadvisor ex. expedia orbits etc ... But couldnt find anything near $169.00 a night at a disney hotel.
I am ready to book my trip for Nov-Dec ASAP when I find that deal, and thanks in advance for the help!

Disneytam 09-13-2007, 09:34 AM There is an AP4 rate for Annual Passholders right now. I believe the rates for standard view views are: PPH $129, DLH $149, and GCH $199. Only one person in the party needs to have a annual pass and it will save you more than the cost of the upgrade. You do not need the AP to book the room, but you will need to show it when you check in.
We are from Oregon and wouldn't normally get an AP, but for the $50 upgrade from the 5 day pass, we will be staying at DHL for $149/night, much better than the $245 is would normally cost during off season.
Jack Skelly 09-14-2007, 08:10 AM Oh, that would be great. Does anyone out there have a link to the AP hotel prices?

There is no link. And no set prices. They are only subject to availablity, so you must call Disney reservations and ask specifically for the "annual pass code AP4" to get the discounted rates.

FoodLover 09-14-2007, 01:05 PM I have the info about the AP code on my site.
I also have info on a code for So Cal residents (no AP needed), which starts at $149/night this fall.

Im pretty excited at the thought of staying in a Disney hotel for once.
Jack Skelly 09-14-2007, 05:11 PM Just out of curiousity, is there any way to get decent rates in Nov-Dec at the disney hotels without using the annual pass rate?
I am just considering all my options ;)
Thanks everyone.

If you're in So Cal, there's the discount I mentioned above. I also have quite a few other Disneyland hotel discounts listed on my site, including AAA.

Poolslide 09-16-2007, 11:48 PM Expedia offers discounts from time to time. For example, if you plug in the dates sept 23 to sept 26, 2007, you will see standard room rates of $169 at PPH and $221 at GC, but these rates are very specific - not a broad deal for all/different dates. They, however, do not require an AP.
Jack Skelly 09-17-2007, 08:36 AM Expedia offers discounts from time to time. Is that because the date is coming up so soon? Is it normal for the prices to do that?
I plugged in all of november and part of december and all the days are regular price. Do you think if I wait until a week before our planned trip at the end of Nov the prices will go down at all? Or, will it be booked up?
Thanks again.
Poolslide 09-17-2007, 08:58 AM I would suggest that you book your dates with disney for the room now. I am assuming room only, right? Then you can cancel (72 hrs in advance) if Expedia offers cheaper rates for some or all of your dates. This way you have a reservation and have the option to make changes later.
Alternatively, you could stay offsite at one of the nearby motels that are walking distance to DLR. They are cheaper.
Yet another alternative is to bite the bullet and get one AP - then you can take advantage of any AP discounts that are available for your dates. For example, the standard room rate around now at the GC is $340. An AP4 rate at the GC is $199. You can see that in one night you can justify buying an AP just for that price difference alone (well, depending how long your trip is). These AP4 rates can be hard to come by in advance, but they are out there. I have successfully booked 3 short (2 and 3 nights over the weekend) trips at AP4 rates this fall. No guarantees of that though particularly if you are intending to go during Thanksgiving or Xmas.
About Expedia: don't plug in a week of dates at a time, check each night separately. Its tiresome but that's how they work it. If you plug in sept 20 thru 26 the rate reverts to the rack rate, but if you plug in just the 23rd to the 26th, then you get the cheap rate. So you have to spend time fiddling.
