I will be visiting Disneyland with family of six at end of September with intention to see Fantasmic on Sat., Sep 29 on which there are two scheduled showings (9 & 10:30 p.m.).
1. A friend suggested that it is possible to reserve seats for it. Is this true? If so, how do I find out about cost and actually reserving it?
2. Is there such a thing as preference for time? What time should I start saving a place?
3. Where are good/better/best places to watch it from?
Thanks!

Thye opened the reservations on Aug 29th for your day. It is $59 per person. 1-714-781-4400

Thanks very much for the cost. If I don't want to pay for the reservation, where is a good place to sit and how far in advance should we start saving a seat?

I've seen people saving seats more than three hours before the first showing.
If you go for the second showing, try to spend time during the first showing maybe in Critter country / Haunted Mansion area. Then as everyone exits after the fireworks, you can grab up a seat. But I've heard those go quick - sometimes within about 10 minutes. So maybe mid-fireworks (how long do they last?) start making your way over??
But I'm sure someone will know better than I will :p

At the 1030 show, be in the area by 930 and ready to get to grab seats when it starts to clear out.

even during off season? like saturdays in october (not including the 21)? it just seems like 6 is really really early.
