As amazing as the Park??!! Thanks, Victoria:) Wfoxx 09-08-2007, 07:13 PM We took my parents and our two daughters ages 12 & 14. They loved it. Our oldest loved the teen area Aloft and the youngest loved being in the oceaneers lab. the pirate party was the highlight of the trip and you will love Castaway Cay. The shows are fantastic especially Disney Dreams and yes there are characters, princesses and Jack Sparrow too to meet and takes pictures with on the ship and at Disney's private island Castaway Cay. I would do it again. frdeb1999 09-09-2007, 07:42 AM I'd have to say it is even better then the parks. But thats just my opinion. We did our first this past August. It was myself, hubby and 3 daughters ( 18, 16, 11 ) We all absolutely loved it!! So much so that we already prebooked for next year. There are so many things to do that I don't even know where to start. Characters everywhere.....many more opportunities to see them and get one on one meetings. The kids activites are fantastic. Food is fabulous. Deffinately worth doing!! BIRDGIRLS 09-09-2007, 07:59 AM We went in 2001 and LOVED IT. (me [age 11 at the time], my sister [age 10 at the time], parents, my little cousins [no idea how old they were], my aunt and uncle, and my aunt and uncle's friends). We had a blast. Smeecanada 09-09-2007, 08:19 PM We (DH, DD (11), DS (12) and I) did a 4 day cruise a few weeks ago. It's awesome and I have to agree with a previous poster - it is even better than the parks. We've already prebooked for a 7 day cruise next year. Go for as long as you can afford. 4 days was not enough for us. So much to do and everything is so well done from the shows, to the food, the service and Castaway Cay is icing on the cake. dsnyredhead 09-09-2007, 11:18 PM We did the seven day cruise in 2000 and loved it. We are going on the four day cruise in October and I am counting the days. Niwel 09-14-2007, 06:57 PM It feels like an extension of the park (try to catch the DCL special on the Travel Channel mentioned in a previous post). I'm an avid cruiser, but have never had an experience like on DCL (I've been once on each ship). Mr Niwel and I are booked for October 2008 - he was hesitant at first, but now can't wait to go. :D If you have any specific questions, we are happy to help. :) |
