Hi!

On my next trip to WDW I plan on doing some shopping at the Mitsukoshi Dept. Store in the Japan Pavilion. I especially love their Bonsai department and hope to buy a few and send them back to Connecticut. There may be other items I purchase since I love anything Japanese.

My question is: Will the store ship my purchases home? It would be nice if they do it for free but I imagine I will have to pay the postage.;)

I know that they will have them delivered to my resort (BWV) but there is no way that I can carry them with me back home.

I guess I can extend this question to encompass a general inquiry about shopping and shipping. Is there a WDW policy regarding this practice?

Thanks.

you can ship from stores. you won't be charged sales tax but the shipping from WDW is relatively expensive. they base it on the cost of the purchase.

Yeah, the no-tax perk is a very good one, but unfortunately the shipping prices are no longer what you'd consider reasonable. They were underpriced up until last year, so Disney's catching up now.
It may seem like a huge hassle, but I usually go to the Home Depot or Lowes, purchase a large moving box, and pack all of my purchases up and drive them over to Kinko's where I ship it home via FedEx Ground. Saves a bundle, at least if you have a rental car and don't mind taking an hour out of your vacation.
