No, even HOTTER than that!! :p Congrats, sierranevada. I finished too. And am I thankful for that. I hope they move the race later in the month next year. This weekend's heat seems so torturous.

I know it was a freak heat wave but I'm with you, please move it later next year!

Congrats Gone2Disneyland!

Someone told me 13,000 people registered but only 9700 people finished. It was 70 at the start line and 100 by the time everyone finished! I saw a lot of people down along the course and getting help by medics. They were handing out bags of ice at the first aid tent along with ice cold towels.

Slept too late at night
HOT, slept only 4 hours
Woke up at 4 A

Needed my caffeine
Hot coffee not good idea
Still, needed wake up

Stuck in Corral G
Crowded waiting at start line

Well done everyone. I finished too, just shy of 3 hours and yes it was extremely hot! I had a good time though and I feel very accomplished since this was my first time doing anything like this! Congratulations everyone! :)

I've had so many knee problems in the past few months I'm honestly surprised I even finished. The heat didn't help either!


Highlights:

Running through Disneyland (duh!)
Running through DCA
Running through Angel's Stadium, on the field!
The Anaheim Ducks cheerleaders :p
The spectators cheering us on
The entertainment along the way

Lowlights:

The heat! What was it during the race? 90?
A few boring stretches - I think miles 6-8 were desolate
That damn dirt road along the aqueduct


All in all it was an amazing experience. This was my first race and I was very happy to share the experience with my cousin/best friend. And Tracy was there at the finish line to take my picture before I passed out. :p

If I'm crazy enough, I just may return for more next year. :eek:
