Had a great day with Mom Dad and Sis and her old high school pal Carol!!!
And thanks to all of you Mouse Planet people for the advice it was GRRRREATLY appreciated.
We had bought everyone the traditional Mickey Mouse ears with all of our names on it and we looked great!!!
Got into the park very early of course and we headed straight for INDIANA JONES as that is my sister's fave and of course no wait. Then we headed to get a FAST PASS for SPLASH but there was NO wait at all so our pal CAROL hates the ride so she went and got SPACE fast passes.
My sister and Mom were wearing DENIM so they made me sit in the front seat. As I am 6'2" I had always been placed in the back seat of the old logs. What an amazing view being in the front and of course I got SOPPING SOPPING SOPPING wet. I will wear those trousers again as they dried very quickly.....
Then we had breakfast at CARNATION and met Oscar and I highly recommend the Cinnamon Roll French Toast!!! Amazing. We did Space Mountain, Main St. Vehicles, Steve Martin's show, Small World, Some Fantasyland rides, lots of shopping for the gals....(Mom and Dad went to Disneyworld recently so we skipped a lot of things) Then we went to TOM SAWYER's ISLAND and thought that that was pretty cool but it was way too hot and we got a little uncomfortable and didn't see the show.
We headed over to CA ADVENTURE and rode the biggies and caught the BLOCK PARTY BASH by accident and enjoyed that!!! Turtle Talk was hilarious as people asked the WEIRDEST questions. Had really nice drinks and a snack at the ARIEL'S GROTTO bar. Rode SOarin' again before heading back to Disneyland. We decided to ride NEMO at night to not be in the sun. Only an hour wait and Mom and I held places while the other three rode the Matterhorn and then Mom and I got a sit down while the other three waited in line. THOUGHT it was VERY cool. our friend Carol says that it is much cooler at night as the water looks more realistic!!!! Definitely a kids ride but really impressed with the technology. Very fun. But there were four teens next to us that were BEYOND MIFFED at the ride as it was STUUUUUUUPID. What in the world were they thinking???? I guess they all thought there was going to be a loop!?!?!?!
We ended the evening with a trip on STORYBOOK. A magical mellow moment to end the day!!!! WHew. SIs and I are going for a GRAND CALIFORNIA LONG WEEKEND in OCTOBER.....cannot wait!!!
