View Full Version : Where to put "stuff" while on RnR?
tdelaney_98 08-29-2007, 08:16 PM We've always had a big enough group to leave our stuff with others in our party before we ride RnR. This time, it's only 2 of us and we're both riding.
Do I have to get a locker at the front of the park before we ride? Any other ideas? On which other rides will we have this same problem? I can't think of anything else that doesn't have a place to put it or the ability to wind a small bag around my feet.....Hmmm.....What haven't I thought of (Now THERE's an open-ended question!!!:))
MaraMouse 08-29-2007, 09:32 PM I had this mesh backpack thing with 1 shoulder strap and I would just put my leg through the strap, hold the bag between my feet and be holding the strap with one hand, sounds like a lot of work, but it's executed in seconds heheh. It's such a small space it's pretty much jamned between your feet and won't budge, but I would just make sure nothing can fall out.
How big is your bag? I've been able to wear my bags on my body and have the shoulder strap still fit down over me, you just sorta push the bag off to the side of your body, not infront of you.
On ToT, I have to put the seat belt over the strap of my bag, because when I didn't the first time, I found that my backpack was floating infront of my face in the dark :D It's a good thing I was wearing my bag over my body
disnut8 08-30-2007, 06:17 AM Just what you said - put the bag on the floor and wrap the strap around your ankle. It's always just the two of us and we always take our bags on with us. Never lost a thing.
wishiwasthere 08-30-2007, 10:16 AM I wrap the straps around my ankles and the put my feet together around my stuff so they aren't flopping around everywhere.

We'll each have one of those small string backpacks. Neither will be overly jammed with stuff. We travel very light while in the parks.
Thanks for all of the tips! Keep em comin!
Isn't there a mesh bag thingy in the compartment? I seem to remember it was big enough for my son's sunglasses and ball cap.
I wore a waist pack that I just put the restrait(sp?) over. Or I'd slide it around so that it was against my back. The ankle thing is handy-I'll have to remember that.
disneytink 09-01-2007, 07:58 PM My first time, I had my small camera case with me, and I didn't see a compartment, so I sat on it and held on to it!
The second time, there was a compartment in the same place there wasn't before!!
So check and see if there is one.
cheshirecatgirl 09-03-2007, 07:13 PM I always take my backpack purse off and wrap the strap around my wrist a couple times and just hold onto it. Never had a problem.
SuefromRI 09-05-2007, 12:23 PM Has anyone been on this since the rehab last January? It was closed while we were there then, but previously never had a pouch. We just wrap the strap of the backpack around our wrist or ankle and hold on to it. Also, I take off my eyeglasses for safe keeping. Has anyone ever ridden this with glasses on and not had a problem??

Sue-we were there May '07.
I wore glasses. Never had a problem. Rode it 3 times-it's a favorite! I did wear a band that went on the end of the glasses. Recommend that-after the several hundred dollars I paid for my glasses, I wanted them to be as secure as possible-and still be able to see everything, at least see what I could as it went flying by!
wdwmartin 09-06-2007, 02:55 PM We headed over to MGM after we checked out on Monday and suddenly realized that my macbook was with me in my backpack. So I took my bag and held tght.
There was plenty of room for the bag at my feet.
bradk 09-07-2007, 09:34 AM sunglasses can be an issue because they're really not fitted. but you can always buy the croakies type things (disney sells them on site usually with the sunglasses). as long as the glasses are snug though, they shouldn't be a problem, but no need to risk it either. but there are no attractions in the 4 main theme parks that you'll be required to remove glasses.
i'm not aware of any storage on RNR. i just keep everything on the floor, usually with the straps around my leg a couple of times. other than sliding back and forth though, it's never come close to a threat.
as it is, our good friend centripetal force tends to keep everything against the floor no matter what direction you're facing anyway. i've read papers that say that lap bars are only really needed in loops in the event that the cars get stuck upside down and text that suggests that even shoulder restraints are more psychological than physical. although if i was stuck upside down, i'd have to think i'd be physically more comfortable with shoulder restraints too.
adrock1212 09-07-2007, 10:56 AM I took a backpack, put it on the floor and fed my legs through it. Worked fine.
