Hooray!

I was in the Nemo line Sunday evening with my 5 year old DD and 8 year old DD. We were discussing what ride to do afterwards and moth girls said they wanted to do Autotopia. I reminded them that we wanted to get to Fantasmic by 8:00 and the Autotopia stand-by line can be very long. Immediately the 8 year old said "I'll go get Fast Passes!" I went over with her where we were in line, where we would be if we got to a switchback, where the FP machines are located and told her to only get them if the return time was 7:30 or earlier. I also reminded her to be careful not to drop our AP's! She left and quickly returned with 3 FP's in hand.

It's so imprtant to teach them those valuable life skills early, like FP machine operation. :D

That's great! You are correct when you say that it is very important to teach our children these very valuable skills :D I think every child should know the ins and outs of the FP. Now if I could just get my lazy teenagers to do the running. :p I was not as smart as you and did not start them young.

It can work against you with whiny 9-y/o's.

"Let's go on Buzz."

"But we don't have FP!"

"The line's not that long. It's faster that it looks"

"Why don't we just get FPs?"

"They're gone. We can just wait in line"

:9-y/o sigh of exasperation.:

etc, etc.
