Please don't flame me. ;)

I made a ressie for Le Cellier months back for lunch on a day I though we'd be at Epcot for AM EMH. Plans changed and we're going to the P&PP the night before, so I don't think it's a good option to go to Epcot for EMH the next morning. I looked for ways to change our Le Cellier ressie, and a nice person who was going to cancel their Le Cellier ressie transfered it to me instead. After it was transfered, I found out it was for a party of 2, but we'll have 3.

I know Disney reserves for very specific table sizes, and I don't want to throw things off.

My options are these: Cancel Le Cellier all together (I'd rather not, I've never been there, and we'd be one TS short); go the day after the P&PP when we have the ressie for 3, which would nulify our rest day; or go later in the week when the ressie is for two and hope they squeeze in our third person. What would you do?

And yes, I'll decide, and cancel one of them. The ressie for 2 just got transfered yesterday.

Here's my itinerary if it helps:

8/31 arrive in evening
9/1 MK all day, breakfast at CP, Dinner at DRT
9/2 MGM all day, CS for meals
9/3 Epcot AM, Rest PM, Dinner at Kona, P&PP
9/4 Sleep in a little, Le Cellier at noon, rest, dinner at Cal. Grill (I've been trying to move Le Cellier so we could have the whole day to recoup.
9/5 AK all day
9/6 MK EMH, Epcot in PM, dinner at Coral Reef
9/7 Rest, dinner at Chef Mickey's, Night of Joy
9/8 Epcot morning, dinner at Ohana, Night of Joy (lunch ressie at LC is here, for 2)
9/9 check out, brunch at Kona, depart

Just a heads up that if you show up with 3 people for a reservation of 2, they might not be able to seat you or make you wait like a walk in. A table for 3 people actually requires a 4-person table so its not just as easy as adding a chair. We've had plans change like this before and unless you're having less people show up than original, its best just to cancel and try to reschedule.

Thanks bellefan - I was pretty sure that was the case. I don't think I want to risk not eating at Le Cellier. Oh, bother!

You can always rock, paper, scissors for who gets to wait outside and eat Fish-n-Chips!

We had an ADR for 4 last November at LeCellier and then had a buttinksy Uncle join us at the last minute, so we walked up with a party of 5. It didn't seem to create too much trouble, but we had the advantage of having my son in his wheelchair at the end of the table, so we ended up with a table for 4 + 1 at the end. I did see a LOT of tables for 2 though that obviously would not accomodate a third. Good luck with the decision. And I wouldn't miss it, the dinner was amazing!

Did you try calling and changing the ressie to three people? When my sis and I ate there we were clearly at a two person table. I would think they would have to treat it like a walk up. Could you make another res at another acceptable restaurant say like an hour later? Then if LC can't accomodate you, you would have another option. If they could, you could call the dining line and cancel so they could take a walk in.

ETA- When does Yak and Yeti open? You could make a back up res for your AK day if you had to CS your LC reservation.

Oh wait, just saw the lunch res is like your last day.... that wouldn't work.

Personally, With a very popular place such as LC, do try to call to see if you can get the ADR changed ASAP. Like mentioned above, I bet they would treat you like a walk in if you tried to come in with an extra person. And if that is the case, there might even be a chance that you might not get in at all...

I did try to change the reservation, twice today with different CMs. No dice. For kicks I also had both of them check availability at LC for all the other times we plan to be there. Still no dice. And yes, I'm afraid of not getting in at all. So, it looks like I'll cancel the ressie for 2 and just make a special trip to Epcot for Le Cellier.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
