I printed out the 2008 Dining Plan Brochure and noticed that the selection of restaurants has been reduced considerably, escecially Epcot. I already signed us up for the Dining Plan, I wish I had looked at this first. For example, none of the French, Japanese, Mexican, or Morroccan Restaurants are on there. That's just slightly limiting don't you think?

I know last year when they first announced the restaurants, some of the ones in World Showcase weren't included, but then were added before the year started. I think it was a case of Disney not getting the agreements all together for the restuarants that they don't actually operate, before the plan was announced. I wouldn't worry too much, until say early December, if they haven't added the restaurants.

There shouldn't be a charge for dropping the dining plan, if you do it before you have to make your final payment (but I could be wrong there, you should probably double-check). That should give Disney plenty of time to sign contracts!

Thanks Drince, that makes me feel better.

I was curious and did a search. Here's the thread from last year (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=59550) and it looks like it took them about a month to get it straightened out and published.

Although, just the like the stock brokers say "Past performance is not a guarantee of future returns"!

Yes, the restaurants Disney does not own/run must sign a contract every year, and it typically takes a month or two to show up on the official list. I wouldn't worry unless, as was said, it gets close to 2008 and they don't appear yet.

There is no penalty or charge for changing any package component booked with Disney before final payment, either adding or subtracting from the package. After final payment, depends what it is. Additions can usually be done (like adding a day or two to passes) no charge, but reductions have had a fee ($50 last year, probably the same now).

This is Disney's final payment date of 45 days prior to travel, not when you make your final payment if you do that earlier. So if you paid early, then want to change before the 45 day mark, there is no penalty and you'll get a refund of the difference.

If I read the brochure correctly there are no CS or TS locations at Coronado springs in the 2008 Brochure. Could this possibly be correct?

I have an email in to Disney asking this very question. I'll keep you posted. :)
