Hi. I want to book a character breakfast and wanted to know what time I should book it to be done by park opening. For example, if the park opens at 10 and I book the breaksfast for 8:30, is that enough time to eat and get over to the park before it opens? I have never done a character breakfast before so I don't know if I should allow for extra time or not. Thanks!

my advice is to book it at 8am if the park opens at 10am, at a character meal they allow you 90 minutes for your table and some times depending on yoru group size you need that full 90 minutes to see all the characters AND have enough time to eat. then you will want enough time to get to the park and still get in right when it opens. but you would book at 8:30 if you think you will only need an hour which i know many families do. we stayed about 75 minutes at the character breakfast we did last week with 4 adults and a baby.

Thanks. My 2 1/2 year old is a very slow eater, and with distractions it will take even longer, so I think I will go ahead and book for 8. Thanks!!

Depending on where you are going for breakfast they also have activities where the kids can get up and dance with Goofy etc. That all takes time too. I would say go earlier than what you think you need and if there is time left afterward there are always places to wander around over by the DL Hotel or Downtown Disney. You may want to get done breakfast in time to get a good place in line or get up to the front of mainstreet if they are doing rope drop...I don't remember right now if that is everyday or not. Those breakfasts are expensive enough that I like to stay until I really feel like we've had more than our share of character interaction and yummy food! We're planning on doing a big multi birthday breakfast there in October and will need 2 hours for sure. I don't remember anyone ever mentioning to us the 90 min time allotment but we've always gone off-season. Have fun!

We've done character breakfasts and dinners - and much prefer the dinners. You really want to get to the park before it opens (lines are starting), and I don't know that getting a family up, clean, dressed and travel to the restaurant in time to make a 8:00 character breakfast is doable. It is very hard for my family of five.

My experience with the breakfast was good, but no dancing/group. It was much less of a "party" atmosphere. The characters did come for pix, but it was just not as fun or exciting as the dinners IMO.

You do get 90 minutes to eat, take pix, get autographs, etc. I've never really timed our character meals, and have never been told we're over time - but I'd hate to be rushed.

We've been to character breakfast at Paradise Pier, and dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. What we do is have dinner at GK the day we arrive in California - not on a park hopper day.
