So me, my cousin, and her friend got up at 4 and headed down to Downtown Disney! We got in line about 5:20 and were probably 70 people back. We got escorted to the barricades after the were put up at 7am!

Then it was a game of waiting and trying to stay cool! We saw Tom Delonge who was there randomly with his family!

It started to get more and more crowded and everyone started to stand at 1:30... we still had 3 more hours till' arrivals too! The crowd was very unruly and very pushy, I would say worse than the Pirates Premiere crowd!
At about 3pm some people came over and said they just wanted to ask our crowd a few questions! So they started asking us just random HSM questions and asked a few people around us questions also. Then they said we are going to do a contest and one of you is going to win something (I was thinking a cd or something) they asked us a few more and then left. When they came back they asked me my name again and then said "How would you like to stand on the carpet with me and interview the celebrities as they arrive!" I seriously thought they were kidding and everyone around us was shocked. I started crying and my cousin and friend started crying and I said of course! They handed me a press packet with biographies on the stars and facts about the movie and told me they would be back for me in a little bit. I stood there reading through my press packed looking at the "cheat sheet" of stars pictures with their names on it! I was franticly trying to fix myself and trying to relax. Then about 4pm they came back and said "Are you ready" and handed me my Staff pass,http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee53/hsmpremiere/picture150EDITED.jpg I got to walk down the "blue" carpet to the front and to the side the press was standing on. Everyone was VERY accomidating and so excited to see how I was going to do!! Next up ... the interviews!

We all had the same style except different picture of Zac on the front! We started getting loopy from waiting forever and it being sooo hot!

At about 3 o'clock these guys from Disney came down and started asking us random questions and said we may win a prize. It came down to us and these other 2 groups near us, they left for 10 minutes and then came back and asked me "What would you say if we asked you to join me on the red carpet and interview the stars as they arrive?" I honestly thought they were kidding! I started to cry and said "Are you serious, seriously! Of course" They handed me my press packed filled with biographies on the stars, the director and facts about the movie. They said I would need to keep the questions Disney related and kid friendly, and then they said we will be back in a little bit to come and get you. *Note I couldn't take pictures as I was talking to people I had to wait till' they moved to the next press person or right before they got to me! Every star shook my hand and was VERY polite, So here we go!*

on left is David Henrie and in red is Selena Gomez..these are the new stars of a Disney show called "Wizards of Waverly Place" she was adorable and she said the picture on my shirt was her favorite picture of Zac.

Scoffey you are so cool for posting this. My little sister and I read this together and we were so jealous (in a good way of course). We were kind of bummed to hear Ashley wasn't as nice as she seemed, especially since in her Disney Channel interview she said she loves it when people come up to her (like she'd say otherwise though lol). Thank you so much for your detailed report and pictures. Well if they do a HSM3 premiere, we'll be sure to go, but hopefully it won't be as blazing hot as this last one was. Thanks for your report. I was also there with my daughter and her friend who are both 8 yrs old. They were so excited to be there! We got to the blue carpet around noon after watching the "High School Musical 2" stars at the parade at Disneyland. We got what was supposed to be a good spot behind some girls that had spent the night on the blue carpet! We waited in the HOT sun for hours and finally when the stars came everyone starting pushing and pushing from the sides and behind us. They were soooo rude! My daughter and her friend tried so hard to keep their spots but these people didn't care. My daughter's friend was even crying because she couldn't breath! We were packed tighter than sardines! :mad: :mad: I was really disappointed with DD crowd control!
The only good thing is that I was able to get Miley's signature for my daughter! The pushing was soo bad that we had to leave right before Zac came. :crying: The day got better as soon as we left the blue carpet!! We could breath again! We ended up cooling off at ESPN Zone and then headed in to Disneyland to ride some rides! :p

Oh my gawd you are sooooo lucky! I'm 20 and LUV Zac! Tell all!:D

I admit that I am not the biggest High School Musical fan but every kid around me I know is and even my teenage "boys" they won't admit it but when High School Musical 2 was going to come on it was a big to do!!! Anyways loved your story I bet you will never forget this for the rest of your life!!! Loved all of your pix too!!!
