Ok, hubby just bought me this really snazzy Fuji digital camera, and I have theoption of getting 1 of 2 different types of memory card. One is the traditional SD, and the other is an xd-picture card. Now from the VOLUMES of instruction that came with the camera, I have found that the XD holds about 15 more pics, on average, then the SD. Any other differences? Preferences? Opinions?

I'd go w/ the SD card, as it is a more prevalent type of flash card compared to xD (for the most part, the only digital camera brands that make use of it are Fuji and Olympus). Plus, depending on the capacity of the card (e.g., 1/2/4 GB storage capacity--IMHO don't bother buying anything smaller than 1 GB)...a 15-picture difference on a large-capacity flash card isn't much of a difference in today's digital cameras...not unless someone starts coming out with ones w/ very-high megapixel (e.g., 20 MP or higher) capability.

OTOH if you're gonna buy an itty-bitty 128 MB xD card (vs. a 128 MB SD card)...then perhaps that extra 15 picture capacity may be critical. ;)
