We're leaving tommorow for WDW and I know they have irons. Do they have any on the ships that are available for use by the guests? Trying to figure out if we'll need a small travel one or not? Thanks!! :-)

View Full Version : Quick Question [Irons Available in Rooms?] frdeb1999 08-05-2007, 04:56 AM We're leaving tommorow for WDW and I know they have irons. I dont believe they are available in the staterooms. (I will yield to others who may know differently.) That sounds familiar. I vaguely recall having to go to the laundry room to iron something. Tony 08-05-2007, 12:28 PM That is correct. Irons are only available in the laundry rooms. They ask that you not use irons in the guest rooms, because of fire risks. One of my favorite tricks is send clothes to the laundry to be ironed as soon as we get to our stateroom. It costs half the price of dry cleaning, and is worth it to not have to spend a couple hours of my vaction ironing. (I've also started having my formal wear drycleaned on the ship when we arrive - that way I can just crumple it into the suitcase, and let them deal with it. (And the price is about the same having it cleaned here at home.) frdeb1999 08-05-2007, 04:05 PM Hope this does'nt sound rude....but what is the cost of just ironing them?? I would deffinately be willing to do this if it isn't completely outrageous. All our clothes will be cleaned....just don't want to go to dinner looking like I jumped out of a suitcase!! Tony 08-06-2007, 12:51 PM Yes - absolutely GusMan 08-07-2007, 05:28 AM But, Tony, if one wanted to just iron their clothes themselves, in the laundry room, that's possible, too, isn't it, for free? Yes - absolutely ... just do it early in the day and maybe all at one time to save time. If you try to do it within an hour of dinner time, etc, expect a line of people wanting to do the same thing.
