I am going To UF in August and can only go to one park. I have never been to Islands of Adventure. The dilemma is I am taking my 6 year old grandaughter and want to go to the park that she would enjoy the most. Any suggestions?

Yes. Avoid Universal Studios and take her to the Magic Kingdom. You will both be much happier, as even Universal admits they stand no chance competing with Disney for the pre-teen market.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. We are going to all 4 Disney parks and have one more day for a Universal Park in Florida. I just don't know which one to pick.:o

It probably depends on what your granddaughter and you like .........

IOA has Spiderman, some "get wet" water rides, Cat-in-the-Hat, the Poseidon show and Jurassic Park .......

USF has the Men in Black "shoot-em-up-video-game" ride, Back to the Future simulator, Nickelodeon, Jaws, some stunt shows and ET

Or, as Iceman has suggested, you could have an extra day at WDW to see again things you liked at any of the various parks (repeats of Animal Kingdom's Safari are never the same) or go to one of Disney's waterparks .............

I recomend Islands of Adventure as its got two lands dedicated to kids.Which Universal Studios to my knowledge hasn't.Plus while IOA other three lands are full of more intensed attractions they still have tamer rides for the kids.Like the gliders in the Jurrasic Park area.

a lot can be said for IOA. there is a lot to do there even for a six year old. my 7 yr old loved the park, and she was to small to go on any of the rollercoasters except the flying unicorn. she also enjoyed US as well, but not as much. Suess Landing would be worth it especially if she has recently read any of the books.
