We'll be staying at the BoardWalk Inn in summer 2008. After seeing the BoardWalk this trip, we decided the beautiful lobby and Coney Island Boardwalk theme would be great for us. We have decided to spend two of our seven Disney days at the hotel (and maybe swimming in the Beach and Yacht Club Pool). Are there any major problems with Boardwalk? I found a few trip reports of people who stayed there. Are there any important things I should know before booking a room there? Thank you!

We loved loved loved it there! I highly recommend it there! Sometimes it felt like a long walk from the elevators, but we were glad to be away from the elevators, since that can be a little noisy in any hotel. I understand that if you are noise sensitive you will not want the water view, since you can get a lot of ambient noise from the Boardwalk itself, of course. But we had a view of an inner courtyard, a standard view room, and it was lovely and quiet and a nice little balcony. :)

However, note that poolhopping is not allowed. Unless you are a DVC member, and only then during off seasons. So staying at Boardwalk will not allow you to swim in the Yacht and Beach Club pool.

The location cannot be beat! We are regulars (BC,YC,Boardwalk) and no matter what we just cannot break away from the Epcot Resort area! You must rent the surrey bikes at night for fun and view the fireworks one night from the bridge where it is more "romantic" if you have a moment alone with someone.Babysitting facilities are great at Boardwalk and BC.Good choice!!!!

I rotate at all the deluxe resorts & the Boardwalk is one of my faves. The standard view overlooks a peaceful garden with a balcony for enjoying your morning coffee & paper or evening drink. [I] love entering Epcot through the International Gateway as I spend alot of time in World Showcase. Also I walk to the Studios and the path is along a scenic canal and it gives me a rush to round the bend & see the Studios in the distance. They have a great lounge, the Belle Vue Room, with delicious specialty drinks. And the Boardwalk itself is great in the afternoon or evening for strolling and there's so much to do without always having to truck down to Downtown...If you like to dance there's Atlantic Dance & Jellyrolls is also a great place to hang.I haven't tried much of the food because I like dining in World Showcase, BUT I have visited the Bakery & the pizza window at Spoodles ...YUMMY! All in all I'd recommend the Boardwalk to anyone. I was last there in Dec 2006 and the Christmas decorations were beautiful!

The Bakery at the BW is too small for the kind of business they do...Lack of a resturant has been the typical complaints, otherwise the BW rocks.

With all the different places around it, not sure a restaurant right inside the resort is really needed.

But like others have said, the BW is a great place, and a great location. Would love to go back there soon.

I'll be at the Boardwalk Villas from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4, primarily because of the Food and Wine Festival. I love the EPCOt resorts, however, having stayed at the Yacht and Beach Clubs before joining the Disney Vacation Club.

I'll let you know how it is but I expect it to be fabulous!!!:D I also have an ADR for Spoodles and expect that to be great also. I also plan to have breakfast there at least once.

I will also have breakfast across the lake at the Galley in the YC. I know its a family type of restaurant but it is one of my favs.:fez: In addition, I may decide to have dinner there one night.
