Is anybody else doing the DL 1/2?
Also, I just finished recovering from a knee injury that had put off my training. It is now pretty much 100% (played softball last night and had no problems). I was training pretty hard as of a few months ago, but was forced to take like a 6 week break from running. My question is, can I get back into Half Marathon shape in just 5 & 1/2 weeks? If so, what do I need to do?
The minimum pace is only a 15 minute mile, so if nothing else I can jog the thing. But I want to be at least a little competitive. Thanks for any advice!

I've never done the Disneyland, but this is my 4th year for WDW. Its worth doing the race even if you have to walk because its such a wonderful experience. I dont think 6 weeks will kill you too bad. I was injured for 3 months before my first half at WDW and only ran for about 2 weeks before the race. It was hard, but I finished in 2:20.

Wow! Pretty good time for just coming off an injury!
So do you have any training advice? Other than softball I run about 3 times a week. Should I be bumping that up to 5 times? How many miles do you think I should be doing per session? I had planned to start with 2 miles 3 times a week and add 1 mile per run every week.

I would say to stick to 3 times a week, or maybe go to 4, but you don't have much time before the race. I would do shorter runs during the week and a longer run on the weekend. Have you looked at any of the online training programs at all? I'm not sure what you do when you come into it late though. Maybe someone else here will know.

I did when I first started training. But the injury threw it out of whack. I was considering skipping the race altogether, but like RunninDisney said, even if I have to walk it (I'll at the very least be jogging tho'), it is too cool to pass up!
I was gonna Google "quick training programs" or something, but I came here first. :)

Search for one on www.runnersworld.com. They have some good ones. I was able to bouce back better from my injury because I was training for the full marathon when I got hurt. I was running 16-18 miles and hardly breathing hard. Ahh, the good ole days. LoL. I ran 6 miles Saturday and it about killed me!
Whatever you do, just make sure at the race that you run YOUR race. Its easy to get caught up running someone elses race. Dont go out too fast.
