Minnie and Friends, Storytellers Lilo & Stitch, or Goofy's Kitchen? Here is who is coming - Me, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Belle (my daughter), Bubba (my son), Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Great Aunt, and Great Uncle. We'll be going on a Sunday Morning, probably around 8 am. Belle loves the characters but doesn't seem to be too into the whole princess thing. She had a blast at Storyteller's last February, despite a nasty double ear infection (Thank goodness for www.housecallphysicians.org). Chip and Dale fought over her frequent kisses. She has shown a recent affinity for the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and is always hollering for "Donald!" or "Minnie!" or "Toodles!" Belle will eat almost anything, from apples to zuchinni, including liverwurst and figs! Bubba, who is five, is scared of the characters, but has told me he will be brave and get signatures and pictures. He is the worlds pickiest eater. Plain spaghetti with a bit of butter makes a good meal as far as he is concerned. Belle is likely to out eat him wherever we go. Me, I'm not too into crowds too early in the morning, but if my kids will have fun, I'll do almost anything. Daddy is allergic to seafood, so we'd prefer to avoid stuff that will cause anaphylatic shock. Everyone else is pretty easygoing. I'm leaning towards Goofy's Kitchen (which we have never done) due to the immense variety of foods, hoping that picky Bubba will find something to fill his tummy.

We really enjoyed Minnie & Friends - the character interaction was great, and we saw so many!! The buffet was good, and the number of people wasn't overwhelming at all.

Storytellers was a little light on characters, and I just don't care for Goofy's Kitchen, so Minnie & Friends gets my vote!! :D

I would suggest Goofy's Kitchen, though I've never actually experienced it myself. My family has only gone to Storytellers (which was a bore for the most part), but we are planning on going to Goofy's for our next trip.

We did Goofy's Kitchen on last year's trip and we tried Minnie and Friends this time around.

Based on our experiences, I would suggest Goofy's. The character interaction was about the same at both but the selection is what makes me reccommend Goofy's. There is a wide variety of choice at Goofy's kitchen, including typical breakfast and brunch items, as well as an assortment of fruits and deserts and some out-of-the-ordinary items as well (think PB&J pizza). I'm sure that you would find something to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. At Minnie and Friends, it is more standard breakfast items served in a buffeteria style (like the Plaza is during lunch and dinner). There were scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, hashbrowns, fruit, cold and hot cereals, french toast and Mickey Mouse waffles. The quality of the food was very good at both places.

Character wise, at Goofy's we saw: Goofy (obviously), Pluto, Chip & Dale, The Mad Hatter, Max, Mary Poppins, Donald, Baloo, and a cute little ape (sorry, don't know his name!).
At Minnie's we saw: Minnie (obviously), a Penguin from Mary Poppins, Captain Hook, Gepetto, the Fairy Godmother, Pooh, Eeyore, Chip & Dale and (I think) Pluto.

One other minor complaint that I have about Minnie and Friends is the cramped feel to it. We sat out on the patio, which was great, spacious and offered lots of interaction with characters, but the dining area inside (especially where you pick up your food) can get very busy, very quickly. I'm sure that eating at an earlier time would alleviate some of this (we were there just after 10:00).

Hope this helps. Happy planning!

We had my daughter's 1st birthday Breakfast at Minnie and Friends. It was great. It was me, my husband, my daughter, mother in law, father in law, brother in law, sister in law and niece who was 2.

We loved it. We had been twice before with my daughter, at 3 months and 6 months. She had a blast.

We went to Goofy's for a birthday breakfast around 7:30 am during off season. I thought it might feel wierd to celebrate so early in the day but we had a great time, really took our time eating, opening presents and taking photos and still made it into the park before rope drop which made my kids even happier! I do think you'll get better food there also. Hope her birthday turns out great!

IMHO we prefer the food at Minnie and Friends over Goofy's. We did Minnie and Friends for my daughter's 2nd birthday as well as Mother's Day this year and my 2 year old loved it. The food at Goofy's seems much more cafeteria like to me, and Minnie and Friends feels a little more home cooked if that makes any sense. But maybe that is just me.
It was just the right characters for her, not too scary. I think we had Alice and the Mad Hatter, Captain Hook, Minnie, maybe Donald, and I can't remember the rest. It was quite a diverse group, which was neat. As for the crowd, we went early - first available time slot at park opening, and it was not crowded at all.

I am going to have to say Goofy's as well. Large variety of food, and if I'm not mistaken they actually had a buffet geared toward children. Plus there is a plethora of characters and not a whole lot of princesses. We were practiacally mauled by every character.

Sounding like Goofy's is going to be the way to go. And now for another questions. I'm leaning towards making a Priority Seating for 11:30, if possible, because I'm not too good with being sociable at 7 in the morning. We'll be able to sleep in, nosh on the foods in the Concierge lounge to tide us over, meet the rope drop at the park, ride a few nice rides, have brunch and a small party at Goofy's Kitchen, maybe walk a bit of brunch off before we pile in the minivan and drive home with nice full bellies. I figure both kidlets will probably doze off and we may be able make the AZ/CA border before we have to stop for potty and gas.

I've been to all three with small kids - so I'm throwing in my $.02 even though I'm late in the game here...

IMHO, Minnie & Friends has the best character interaction but the food is "eh" and it is crowded. Storytellers has wonderful food, but the characters can be B-list and not as plentiful. Goofy's Kitchen has very good food, and lots of recognizable characters, so a happy medium if you want it all.

Have a wonderful time!

I vote Goofy's. I've done them all, and like that one the best.

We have always had great character interaction at Minnie's, and have done it three of four times. As such, mark me down with a vote for Minnie's.

We did Storytellers once, and didn't care for it at all. The characters just hung around in the front of the restaurant, requiring the kids to go to them.

We also did a Princess breakfast at the Plaza Inn (not sure that is still offerred), and again found the that the amount of one on one face time was not so great.

Unfortunately, with my daughter now 9, she has said that she didn't really want to do a character breakfast anymore. Boo Hoo for dad! Maybe we can coax her into dinner at Goofy's, which we always wanted to try, but never have.

Uh-oh! This is the character breakfast we're scheduled for in Dec! Is it not good? We went to Goofy's the last couple of times and wanted to try something different, so we picked this one. There are mostly adults goingt, but we have 2 10y/o (my sister and cousin) as well as my dd who will be 23mo at the time. Will they still enjoy it?

eta: I guess it's the Minne and Friends one at the Plaza Inn that we're going to.

If you're doing the Character Breakfast at Plaza Inn, its now Minnie and Friends. A couple of years ago it was Breakfast with the Princesses (which my son, then 3 and scared of characters, just loved. All those pretty ladies made him feel so special and he ate every minute of it up. And yes, he still is a flirt, just like his daddy). They changed it in August 2005 to Minnie and Friends. If you're doing a lunch or dinner with the Princesses, its over at Ariels Grotto and breakfast is not offered.

I went to the website and looked just to be sure. It's Minne and Friends. I guess becausethere are so many of us going, we chose the least expensive of all the meals. I'm just hoping the kiddos will have a good time, it's more for the three girls than for the rest of us. If my brother were allowed to opt out, I'm sure he would sleep in instead.

Thank you for clearing that up for me.
