HOUSING/ARRIVAL AT PARK:

We arrived at Quality Inn Anaheim at around midnight the morning before our visit to the park. There was about a 10 minute wait to check in, which was a bit annoying, but no big deal. The room was REALLY small, but clean, had lots of towels, and surprisingly comfortable beds. Overall, since we were only staying there 2 nights, I would say it was the right choice. Also, I believe it's one of the cheaper hotels within walking distance of main entrance, so it's great if you plan to get to the park early.

So we woke up at around 6 on Wednesday, which luckily was a non-early entry day. Walk over to McDonald's around 6:45, picked up breakfast, made our way to the park, and got in line by the bag check area at 7:05. We ate breakfast while sitting/standing in line...there were only about 15 people in front of us in line, so we knew we'd have a good chance at getting on Nemo with minimal wait.

GETTING ON NEMO:

I'd say by 7:20 the line was over 100 people. A little before 7:30 they let people go through the bag check and line up in front of the main turnstiles. This is where it got a little tricky, and you had to pay attention...the turnstiles closest to the bag check area filled up quickly, while the turnstiles on the opposite end stayed relatively emtpy for a couple minutes. We got to one of the turnstiles quickly, and were about 10th in line. I was thinking they would let people in to the Main Street area at 7:45, but that didn't happen. Everyone stayed in front of the gates until right before 8, which was when the "countdown" to opening began. It's tough to estimate, but I'd say right before opening, there were a good 1000 people in front of the gates. They started letting people through the turnstiles right at 8 - the mad rush to Nemo had begun. I'm a decent runner, so I started full sprint down Main Street, and got to the start of the Nemo line with only about 5 people ahead of me. At this point I was thinking I would surely be on the first "voyage," but the few people who got their ahead of me kept letting people cut. Moms and kids would go to the front of the line, duck under the rope, and join their husbands/boyfriends (I shouldn't complain, I let Fay and Kat do the same). At any rate, by the time we got to the subs, there were about 30 people ahead of us, but luckily we boarded the FIRST sub of the day! No wait!! As for the ride...it was fantastic, and well worth the early arrival/run down Main Street.

REST OF DAY:

I'll keep this part brief...basically, with the help of RideMax, we rode every ride we wanted to (most of them twice) with almost no wait. We ate lunch at the little mexican joint in between Fantasyland and Adventureland, and I thought it was fantastic. I got the chicken burrito, Kat got the chicken tacos, and Fay got the Steak burrito. We were all very satisfied, and the price was very reasonable. Anyway, here is the rundown of rides we went on, in what order, how much wait for each, and my rating for the ride's quality:

1. Nemo - no wait once inside park - 9/10
2. Buzz - no wait - 8/10
3. Alice - 10 minutes - 8/10
4. Peter Pan - 20 minutes - 8.5/10
5. Snow White - no wait - 7/10
6. Pino - no wait - 7/10
7. Space Mountain - 10 minutes with FASTPASS - 9/10
8. Buzz - 10 minute wait - 8/10
9. Haunted Mansion - 10 minutes - 9/10
10. Splash Mountain - 10 minutes with FASTPASS - 9/10
11. Small World - 5 minutes - 7/10
12. Roger Rabbit - no wait with FASTPASS - 7.5/10

LUNCH BREAK @ 12:45

13. Indiana Jones - 15 minutes with FASTPASS - 9.5/10
14. Pirates - 15 minutes - 9.5/10
15. Haunted Mansion - 10 minutes - 9/10
16. Mr. Toad - 20 minutes - 7.5/10
17. Pirates - 10 minutes - 9.5/10

Left park a little before 4, thinking we wouldn't be able to return later in the day (I had a concert to attend), but was able to come back a little before midnight. Rode the following 2 rides between 11:15 and midnight.

18. Indiana Jones - 15 minutes - 9.5/10
19. Space Mountain - 10 minutes - 9/10

All in all, 19 rides in a little less than 9 hours inside the park. It was a perfect day, and I can't wait to return!! Anyone who has any doubts about RideMax...GET IT, IT'S FABULOUS!!!
