JULY NEWS
The Moscow Circus is here!
The award-winning troupe of acrobats, aerialists and clowns is great fun for
kids of all ages. The Circus runs 5 days a week through August 16 and best of
all it is completely free on the beach bandstand!
There's a lot of excitement about our July 25 outdoor showing of The Lost Boys,
the campy 1987 vampire movie filmed at the Boardwalk.
Two of the stars of the movie Corey Haim and Corey Feldman are busy launching
their new A&E reality TV show, The Coreys airing July 29. We expect cast members
Billy Wirth, Brooke McCarter, Chance Michael Corbitt, and Jamison Newlander to
attend the Boardwalk event.
The Boardwalk's Centennial has been getting some great news coverage this summer.
You might enjoy a recent story about the Giant Dipper in the San Francisco
Chronicle, Some of the "behind the scenes" facts might surprise you!
Click here to see the article on sfgate.com
And a Sacramento Bee video shows the 1924 wheel that runs the Dipper up the
first hill. Few people besides Dipper mechanics have actually seen the "wheel
room" shown briefly on the Sacramento Bee web site.
