Day one-Traveling to the airport.
Ok, we decided to save a few bucks and drive to baltimore to fly out there instead of Harrisburg. Stayed at the Embassy Suites Baltimore. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. they were extremely rude. My room wasn't ready, staff was snooty. We tried to eat in the 24 hour onsite restaurant while waiting for our room. The waiter came over and said, and I quote "I haven't had a break since 10am and I am working here alone, you will have to come back after 5. this was at 3pm. we went in search of a candy bar to sustain us. Only soda machines. The only candy you could buy was in gift shop for $1.50!!!! never again.
We survived the evening. In the am, we were driven to Bwi about 2 1/2 hours prior to flight. Plenty of time, right?
Lines everywhere at the airport. But no one telling you which line is which. we were told to stand in this line and wait. After an hour we were next. Yes, you guessed it, we were in the wrong line. Stood in the line the next lady put us in. Then the security line. (hubby lost his right guard). We barely made the flight, had to run to board the plane!
we made it alive to Orlando and were greeted by Magical Express!! The cast members were smiling! And friendly! And glad to see us!! what a difference from where we just came!! my great mood is back!! I love Disney World! I love Walt Disney!!
They very efficiently got us thru the check in and waited very little for our bus! After what seemed like a short ride, we arrived at the CBR custom house for check in. More smiling people!!! i love this place! the resort was beautiful, (my first time at Cbr). Our room wasn't quite ready (it was only 2pm) but they gave us a card with a number on it to call from our cel phone to see when our room was ready. We took internal shuttle over to Port Royale to get a beverage and check out the pool. Wow! Great pool!
by the time we had purchased our mugs and walked about for a few minutes, DH called and our room was ready! Trinidad North, right next to smoking area for DH! It was perfect, they gave us everything we had asked for!
The rooms were very nice, tropical theme. It did seem slightly larger than my last room at POR. Our "private" pool for Trinidad was great too! It felt warmer than the main pool, and there were never any kids there! Very peaceful! we decided to take the bus to DD to shop and check out Disney quest. We waited for about 5 minutes for shuttle and were on our way! By the way, I really recomend CBR if you want to be centrally located. It seemed very quick to all parks! We never waited more than 15 minutes all week for a shuttle to parks. DD was as lovely as I remembered. We decided to get off at first stop and walk our way over to Disneyqust. As we reached the movie theatre, here came the rain!! we ducked under cover at one of the side entrances of the theatre to wait it out. It was raining sideways! Very cool. Finally made our wet way to DQ. It was our first time. DH was in classic video game heaven! "They have frogger!, They have Pac man!" He could have stayed in there all day! He turned back into a teenager! The machines are free! (well, for the price of addmission, but we had WP and more option). Next we did what may have been my favorite thing in the whole place. we designed a virual roller coaster and rode it! (i am a huge roller coaster tycoon video game junky) After you design your coaster they put you in this pod thingy, and you ride!! I thought my DD was gonna hurl! I loved it and rode 3 times, each time upping the thrill factor! And I am scared of "real" coasters! My DH and DD were so impressed with me!
After that, we made our way back to Fultons Crab house. I was a little concerned after reading some reviews that is was going to be "so-so". What a fantastic meal! Our waitress was so wonderful! DH had surf and turf, DD had salmon. I wanted an assortment of seafood, but the only thing on the menu that had e few things was all fried. The waitress sensed my hesitation and offered to have the chef broil it for me! It wasn't even on the menu that way! It was so yummy! Red Lobster is never gonna be the same.
We shopped our way back to the bus stop. Of course I had to stop at the Disney Mobile stand and get a piglet charm for my cel phone! The rep said piglet wouldn;'t light up because we are verizon, but he lights up when it rings! I am now feeling very Disney happy! mmmm, next a free piece of chocolate at ghirardelli! mmmm. and a browse thru "art disney" Holy cow, I wish I had a spare 2 grand for one of those paintings! After another very short bus trek back to the resort, we filled our mugs and walked to our room to find our luggage just as promised! "hey, let's go swimming, it's only 11:00 pm!" So we changed into our suits and swam at our island pool til about midnite. back in the room, DD and DH are asleep. I decide to tune in to the park channel. Am I the only one who finds that woman hosting, extremely annoying? Not quite sure what is annoying me about her. And so we come to the end of our magical day one. Much, much more to come. (yes, I had lunch with Chris Rock at Epcot on thursday, but more about that later!:)

Monday June 25 ---Day 2
Had a wake up call for 6 am! It was stitch, of which I am not a fan, but still fun to get the call! It was emh at MGM so after my mug fill up and dh and dd sharing a counter service breakfast(meals are huge) we set out to the bus stop. Again, a very short wait for the bus and short ride to the park. We made a beeline for RRC to fast pass. this was our first experience with this so I wasn't sure what to expect. DH wasn't sure he trusted my knowledge. Got our fp and then got right on in the standby line. Woo! Just as fun as we remembered! Fp time was for about 930 so we headed over to TOT. Again, awesome. I think it's a little different than last time. While having a water we spotted a strange lady scraping gum off the bottom of benches. Rosie the cleaning lady! She was a hoot. It was so hot out, I am not sure how she did that with all the makeup and clothes. She was hysterical. By this time, our fp time was ready to ride RRC again. Imagine our surprise when we went back, the standby was already at 60 minutes. My DH said, "are you sure about this?" Wow, we walked right to the front of the line and rode again! I felt guilty for about 2 seconds and then got over it! This is the greatest invention of all time!
It was now time for the High School Musical parade and my DD was really looking forward to this as her high school actually performed this show this year with her in it. Unfortunately, people gathered aroung very quickly and we could barely see it. But she still enjoyed the music.
Star tours was next and always enjoyable. And of course the muppets.
I had made Adr's for 50's prime time for noon. Mama Oni was our waitress and she was fantastic! my DH ordered the fish sandwich, hold the let and tomato, he hates veggies. She brought him out a seperate dish of corn and made him eat it! He played along very well and it was a blast! The lady at the next table did not eat her greens at all. When they brought out her dessert, it was her greens again, with whipped cream on top!! we all agreed that this was our favorite meal! (food was so-so, but the entertainment cannot be beat!)
By this time, it was blazing heat so we decided to go back to the resort to relax and swim. DD took a nap, and hubby and I walked around resort and swam!
We decided that there were some more things at DD we wanted to buy so we went back.
Had dinner adr for shutters at CBR. i thought it would just be easier on our first full day. It wasn't awful, but I have had better. Hubby is a butcher and he was appalled that they smoked prime rib. I tried to explain to him that that is how they do it in the Carribean, but he said, "you just don't smoke a delmonico steak". Whatever honey, Just go with it! Probably the only meal he did not enjoy. Very limited menu also.
After another late night swim, we decided to turn in and end our Magical day 1! More to follow!

Tuesday June 26 Magic Kingdom Day
Another early day. Set the stitch call for 6 am. It's so much easier to get up and out of bed here. DD has issues with the time though. DH and I get ready quickly and go fill our mugs at port royale. I tried making the coffee in the room, but the water smells bad and I do not trust drinking it. I loved to sit on a bench with my dh (ok it was his smoking bench) early in the am. It was right on the water and that sunrise just cannot be beat. Finally drag the 14 almost 15 dd out of bed and out to the bus stop.
I had made adr's for crystal palace character breakfast @ 8:30. No problem, made it in plenty of time and was seated quickly. I am still so surprised at how many people do not make adr's and are clueless about this. Do they really go to disney world without any research? I thought the breakfast was good. My dh did not. Apparently the eggs were going to haunt him. (if I only knew then how much they were to haunt me, well thats later on in this report) I just wish we could have seen more of the characters. Only tigger and piglet made it to our table. Of course when piglet was there, I made an imbecile of myself. I got all ferklemp and teary. " I love you piglet, you are my favorite character!" DD will never let me live that down.
On to the FP for space mtn. No problem, return time 930. we rode Buzz, did the laugh factory and the tram, then Space Mtn. I never get sick of that ride. It is still one of my favorites. Unfortunately, this is when the eggs started to haunt my DH. So I parked him at the restroom and DD and I went on Carrousel of progress. I hadn't seen this since I was a kid! Still fantastic!
By now, its about lunchtime and DH is unhappy. His belly hurts. Time for a resort break.
We get to the room and DD and Dh lay down for 1/2 hour or so. DD decides we should go to a water park. Dh still not up for this so we decide to go it alone. I chose TL because it was closest to the resort and we had to be back in MK for 7pm adr. This was the one and only time we had trouble with transportation. We waited for about a half hour and still no TL bus. I called on the phone at the bus stop and 5 minutes later there was a bus!
TL was packed. We made a beeline for the wave pool. Whoa are those big waves! At least 8 feet! What fun! We also did the very high, very steep slide. I thought I was gonna pull my swimsuit bottoms out of my mouth! I said to the CM at the bottom of the slide, "I bet thats more than you really want to see" and she said, "thats why we look away at first maam" Hysterical. We had a funnel cake and a snow cone and decided to do the lazy river. Only complaint is the amount of children not floating down the river on tubes. They are just playing or splashing their way thru. Supposed to be relaxing!!! It's not relaxing with a child swimming underneath you! Also seems really unsafe.
We decide to call daddy and see how he is feeling. A complete stranger answers his phone so dd hangs up. It occurs to me that he probably went to the pool cabana and made a friend! Uh oh, time to go back and check on daddy.... more to come...

Continuation of Magic Kingdom Day:eek:
We decide to get off right at port royale and go straight to the pool bar to see if that was indeed where daddy ended up. Lo and behold, there he is, sitting with apparently his new best friend. Oh lord, DH is 3 sheets to the wind. thanks fella from kentucky. Cuz DH blamed you for everything. He swears you forced him to drink 3 beers. Then you again forced him to do a shot of rumplemintz, then apple scnapps. Oh he was havin' a blast with his new friend. And that first beer really made his stomach feel better. Oy vey, we got him back to the resort where he swore he was fine and we were still gonna have a great time tonight a MK. Ok I will spare you some more vivid details, but lets just say we spent a few more hours in the room waiting for dh to come out of the bathroom. DD is shooting buulets at him with her eyes, I am extremely proud of myself as I have yet to freak out. We manage to make it to MK and our Adr at Liberty Tree. ***note to self, next time DH decides to drink all afternoon at the resort, LEAVE him in the room****
(Please fellow disney lovers keep in mind, DH only drinks once or twice a year)
It is at this point that I realize the real value of the dining plan. I have absolutely no idea how the meal was because I barely tasted it, I was so mad by this point. But the cool thing was, I wasn't mad about the money spent on the meal because by this point we were so far ahead of the game for the value. SOooo much food. Love the dining plan. Anyway, by this point, fun, drunk, DH is gone and replaced by tired, grouchy, drunk guy, so it's time to go. We manage to get back to the resort without leaving daddy on the bus, (we thought about it) and DD and I went to the hot tub. We decide that Daddy was an idiot but he will feel like such a jerk tomorrow, we are gauranteed pretty much whatever we want for his penance. We decide to call it a day, and agree tomorrow will be much better.......:~D

Animal Kingdom Day- Wednesday June 27, 2007
Another early start day. I thought this would be hard for me but it wasn't. I totally hate getting up before 8 am when I am home. I had no problem getting out of bed any morning at WDW. Another 6 am stitch call. I flicked on the parks channel and agin tried to figure out, what exactly was annoying me so much about that woman. Stacy. I still can't put my finger on it, I should love her, I am a disney junkie. Anyway, she cannot ruin my disney spirit. We again haul our behinds up to port royale for my morning fix and the DH and DD shared breakfast. I cannot stomach food before noon, even on vacation. We had a very short wait for the bus and off we were to AK. It was EMH so we headed straight for EE.
Oh, and for those of you wondering, DH was in major suck up mode. Twas an expensive day! :~D and amazingly, he was up and rarin' to go, with no after effects of his fun the day before.
WE got our FP for EE. Thank god we did, because when we got there, the standby was already at an hour. And it was 8:15. FP return was for 10:30, so we headed to Dinoland. Rode the "wild mouse?" I can't think of what they call it here, whirly something, but I loved it! Then we did what was probably my favorite ride, DINOSAUR> Wow! I had never ridden! Last time we came in 2000, my kids were too scared. This was great! The looks on our faces on the picture at the end of the ride are priceless! I am KICKING myself for not purchasing this picture!! Anyone know of a way to still get it?
we walked thru the walking thing, very cool. You will have to forgive me, I am frantically trying to find my maps, so I can name things properly, and I can't find them! Now I am starting to get upset because I can't find my maps that I made sure to bring home, so I will have to continue later!:crying:

So, I never foung my maps. oh well, hope I can describe with out annoying everyone too much. We head back to EE and it is shut down! I thought my DD was going to stroke out. No problem, the CM says we ca come back anytime today with our FP. Right about now is when I thankfully realize how nice this park is made. With the exception of the area around EE, the walkways were wide and better yet, SHADED! The area around EE was always packed and jammed up. I am not sure why it always feels hotter here. Do you think they deliberatley make it hotter there to feel more like Africa? So we did the Bugs Life and checked out all the really great animals. I think if not Epcot, AK might be my favorite. Those monkeys up in their perches are so cool. This park is another reason I may come alone next time. No one but me wanted to look around. These two are all about the RIDES! By this time, everyone is hungry and the park is getting very full. We head back over to EE and finally get to ride! I had the &#(& scared out of me. It was great. Daughter loved it, DH said it wasn't "thrilling" enough. Note to self, maybe next time send DD and DH to Universal and do Disney parks alone, just a thought.
We ran over to get a FP for KS and walked our way out. Another very short ride back to CBR. Decided to go to the "quiet" pool at Trinidad North. I reall yenjoyed this pool. Very warm, and it usually takes me 20 minutes just to get in a pool. I met a lovely family from Niagara Falls. We spent the next 2 hours discussing everyhting disney and I answered a bunch of questions for them. These poor people were clueless. I still cannot believe anyone would come here without some research. She was so thrilled with me! made me write down some stuff for her. Said the AAA lady they booked with wasn't half as knowledgable as me (pat on back for me and my disney board friends:)
Uh oh, sat, chatting in the pool too long. Now I am fried. After some proactive solorcaine just in case, we head back to AK.
We head right to KS where we are right on time for our FP. The FP line is huge. We finally get near a tv monitor. Asked a cast member what the problem was. He said sometimes all the trucks get backed up. After what seemed like forever, we finally got on. DD had the brilliant Idea to bring cam corder and film it. Yes, we have her on videotape crying and swearing because she can't hold the camera steady. very funny. It does seem bouncier than last time, tho maybe its because we sat in the back seat. Saw alot of animals! And did manage to get some animals on video without bouncing. Again asked DH to ride the water ride and he refused. "I don't want to get wet" "it's 95 degrees out, why wouldn't you want to be wet?"
Another reason for me to come back alone! Its now about 5 oclock and we are getting tired and cranky. After some more animal perusal, we headed back to the resort. We got dinner at the food court at CBR. By the way, I HIGHLY recommend the Greek Salad at the deli at CBR. It was one of the best salads I have ever had and it was huge! Also tried the turkey BLT and took our food back to our "private" pool. (that is what we started calling it, because no one else was ever there) The dining plan worked out just fabulous for us. I figured I would have spent about 1000 bucks on food had we paid for it. And I would have had to pay, hubby eats 3 squares a day.
I cannot believe we only have 1 more full day here, I am already starting to feel sad. After watching Stacy some more and the 10 oclock showing of general hospital for my DD, we hit the sack. Oh, only after watching the fireworks again from the beach in front of our room. Very cool, only I never did figure out which park they were coming from! Next edition----

Thursday EPCOT Day
No emh this morning, so we actually slept in. By sleeping in, I mean I got up at 7am. Don't have any idea why I bounce out of bed here, without even an alarm! The sunburn is gone! Wow, I actually have a slight tan. This is big for me, I am the WHITEST woman on the planet. I love Florida! Even with our late start, we still manage to make it to Epcot by 9am. As soon as we entered, I informed DH that he was to go to TT with DD and I was runnin' over to soarin' to get the FP's. We would meet at TT in about 15 minutes. I had this plan in my head and on paper for months. No problem except I only had a vague idea of how to get to Soarin', it was our first time! I made great time! Walking, skipping, sometimes jogging at a very brisk pace, asking CM's along the way if I am going the right way! Whew! Weaving, bobbing, wow, I am really proud of myself! Finally get to soarin' and the FP LINE! This was my first bad experience with FP lines. Stood in line for about 15 minutes. A guy in line behind me said, "I wonder what the problem is?" and the woman in front of me turned around and snapped, "some of us have 10 or 20 FP's to get!" Whoa, back off lady!!! She has lost HER Disney happy.
Finally make my way back to TT. DH and DD are no where to be found. The standby is already at 40 minutes. Line is way out the door. I scanned every person in line and every person I could see inside. Looked at exits, everywhere for about 10 minutes. Realized we had left all 3 cel phones in the room. So I decided to just go ahead and get in the single rider line and ride it by myself! I figured I could worry about finding them when I was done riding.! Made my way up and aroung single rider line all the way to the doors where they let you in as a group. Lo and behold, there are my DH and DD just about to get thru the doors! Unreal! Hubby is irritated with me, he was worried I was going to be mad, whatever. He continues snipping about it all the way thru line until we are next to get in a car. My DD finally turns to him and says, "Dad, she is here, we are about to get on, will you chill!" Very funny. We realize we have been waiting to board our car for a strange amount of time. The CM comes over the speaker and apologizes for a slight delay due to technical difficultys. A collective groan comes over the crowd. Not 2 seconds later, here comes a large group of african americans coming off the EXIT and proceed to board the cars, that were still sitting there. "What the heck?" A guy behing me hollers, "hey, you are taking our car!" The feller that is sitting in what would have been my seat had we gotten on, looks over, takes off his sunglasses and gives the biggest ^&%^&-%^$ grin!!! IT IS CHRIS ROCK!!!!!"holy ****!" my DD yells, "Thats Chris Rck!" (ordinarily, she would have been punished for the swearing, but come on, it is what we were all thinking.) DD whips out the camcorder. yes, we hav ethis on video! This is apparently the most exciting thing that has ever happened to my DD. She talks non stop about it, thru the whole ride, thru spaceship earth, and into Innoventions! She is telling CM's! This CM in innoventions made us show her the video! Very cool!
By this time my adr for Coral Reef is about ready! We head on over and take funny pics with the mineminemine birds. We are sitting there waiting for them to call us, and the DD is still talking a mile a miniute about Chris Rock. She says to me, "Mom, I wonder where Chris Rock is gonna eat lunch?" I responded, "well, I doubt he would eat here, honey" Just at that precise moment, I am not kidding, that exact moment, Chris Rock is 2 feet from MY face!! Looking right at me!! And grinning!!! I think he heard me! All I could manage to say was "Hi Chris Rock." "hi," he said. Holy Crap, my DD explaims!
We cannot believe he is actually eating here! probably in a seperate area I am thinking. Oh no! Not seperate, at the table next to us!!!! Down a level! he is with his family I think, and an entourage I guess. they took up about 5 tables, but his was right near us. Our waitress overheard us, and bent over and whispered to us, that we were the only diners in there, who realized who he was. Nobody realized it was a celebrity. Wow. DD of course whips out the camcorder agin, but this time, very discreetly. We are at the Coral Reef after all. Have to film the sharks. Our video is hysterical. DD panning in on the sharks, the diver, and oh so discreetly to Chris Rock. She had a great view of him so of course we got the play by play on his meal. He did not like his crab claw salad! She said he made a great yucky face! Hee hee. But he loved his new york strip. Had 3 frozen cocktails!
By the way, I had the shrimp cocktail, new york strip, and orange creme brulee and it was fantastic! Picky DH also enjoyed!
We are done with our meal. Chris Rock gets up by himself, puts on his sunglasses, and leaves the restaurant. We go outside, where there he is, sitting on the ledge, talking on his cel phone with his glasses on, and no one had any idea who it was! Very cool. By this time, DD is begging me to let her get an autograph but I refuse. He is just trying to enjoy a vacation with his family w/o being mobbed. As we walk by him, he looks up, smiles, gives a little wave and a thumbs up, as if to say, thanks for not drwaing attention to me. It was a very cool way to have lunch. DD cannot wait to go back to resort and call her brother and rub it in his face. he loves Chris Rock.
I will stop for now, my fingers are killing me. To continue later on today....

Our return from Epcot
So we make our way back to the resort, DD cannot wait to call fer brother to tell him about Chris Rock. Apon arrival to our room (where we had left all 3 cel phnes) we realize that my sister in PA has been calling all day. Oh god, what is it? After holding for what seemed like forever, I got ahold of her. Uncle Wes has died! WHAT? (Uncle Wes was a family friend, he was my dads best friend). After the shock wore off, and several phone calls home, we realize that there was nothing we could do from Orlando! My mom is angry that my sister called, and bummed out the last full day of our vacation. There wasn't even going to be a service. My sister claims that she couldn't get ahold of Mom, so she thought maybe mom decided to come with us at the last minute. Still doesn't explain why she called my other sister who was at the beach. Anyway, the news kinda makes the Chris Rock news seem lame, so we don't tell anyone. We decided to go back to epcot to do the countries. All the hubby wanted to do was walk by the countries. I would like to actually go thru the countries and LEARN something. This is my favorite park! We stayed and watched illuminations. Always wonderful. But finding a spot to view is very frustrating. We finally found a bench in the UK right behind the restaurant where you can view. As soon as it started, the people seated in the restaurant with perfect views, had to stand up, ( guess to see better) and we could barely see any of it! I am thinkng, by this time, that my frustration is getting the better of me, and with the weird sadness of the day, it is time to go back to the resort.
Hubby and daughter cakll it a night, and I decide to wander aroung the resort by myself. I got some ice cream and sat on the beach at Cbr and just people watched and thought about how sad that we have to leave tomorrow. This is when I got the brilliant idea to come back alone, and do all the stuff dd and dh would not do! Pipe dream, but maybe?
Friday, day of sadness and leaving orlando....
I had made arrangments for bell services to p/u at 8;30 so we have plenty of time to check out, checkin with airline, etc.
Bell service arrived at 845, and he was moving. Whips our stuff into the van and off we go to check out. We took DME to the airport. My dh asked me at least 5 times, "are you sure about the luggage?" he didn't believe that we could check it at the resort and it would show up in baltimore. By this point, I am also getting nervous that we will never see our luggage again. We arrive at the airport with no problem and get to our gate in plenty of time. Guess what? yes, the plane is delayed. Something wrong with it. terrific. After sitting for about another 1 1/2 hours, we finally boarded. Uneventful flight home. Mom is waiting in baltimore. Our luggage was there! it is a miracle! Mo then informs us, "you know its friday, and since you were delayed, it is now 5oclock and traffic is going to be awful"
We sat on the baltimore beltway for about 3 hours. I am not kidding. Finally made it home to hershey. Whew, what a trip.
DH senses my sadness, and apologizes for not being more fun on the trip. 'maybe you should go back by yourself for a few days?'
I said, "wow, what a great idea honey!" Lets let him think this was his plan.
So now I am planning my 3 days alone in october! And I will make sure everyone knows that any family tragedy that happens, if there is nothing I can do about it, DO NOT CALL ME! WAIT TIL I GET HOME! (unless of course it is dh or kids. )
So there it is....my trip report. Hope everyone liked it, it is my first one. I hope to have many more trip reports to come!!!!!

Thanks again, lightygirl, for your trip report. Sorry your last day had to be like it was. There's nothing worse than PDD (post Disney depression); I'm just now beginning to get over it, and most of the recovery is due to a potential visit to DL next summer!!!! Hope you get to go in Oct; we'll be waiting to hear from you after your trip (and, of course, before it as well).
