1. OCEAN PHOTO CONTEST: AND THE WINNER IS...

Our thanks for the hundreds of entries we received from Ocean Action
Team members, offering their most inspirational photos to help us
celebrate World Ocean Day. The winning photo, of a harbor seal in a
kelp forest, comes from Douglas Klug. You can see the winning

2. STAY LATE THIS SUMMER

We'll stay open until 8 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday through Labor
Day--more time to see your favorite exhibits, enjoy live jazz and
even make a dinner reservation in our ocean-view Portola Restaurant.

3. HAVE AN ADVENTURE

From a three-hour Science Under Sail cruise on the bay, to special
SCUBA experiences for kids age 8 to 13, to special tours, excitement
awaits on our many Aquarium Adventures programs. It's going to be an
amazing summer!

4. COOL NEW ANIMALS

In Jellies: Living Art you'll find a gorgeous (and huge!) black jelly
our aquarists raised behind the scenes. In four months, it grew from
the size of a grain of rice to reach 10 feet long--and it's still
growing.
