Sounds good! You only get as many credits as NIGHTS you stay, so it is good that you don't have anything planned for the day you arrive. Just play it by ear and pay out of pocket or stay by the hotel and enjoy slipping into the Disney spirit!
Thanks Tina. Since we are flying in, we did not want to be locked into any specific meal in case there are any flight delays. We plan on going to Magic Kingdom the moment after we check in, as we will most definately be in the Disney SPIRIT. This is what we did when we made our first trip back in 2006. Back then, we had one counter service meal left that we did not use, so I plan on making sure we use those when we eat outside of the Table Service meals, and if we run out early, then we can pay out of pocket. :)

Just a thought on the left over counter service credits- when we had 3 left at the end of our trip in October we went to Earl of Sandwich the day we were leaving and got three lunches to go then ate them at the airport for lunch(we drank the drinks when we got them since I was not sure if we would be eating before or after security). DS had McD's which was fine by him.

Saturday - Hoop-dee-doo Musical Revue (this is the one I have the most queries about  Is it really good? We have done the Luau and enjoyed it but I am thinking this might be a nice change. Is it worth 2 of the Table service? I thought it might be more entertaining for DS)
These are my thoughts. I would enjoy all of yours!! Thanks!! :p
My family and I (now my new family with my fiance) have gone to disney since I was very little and EVERY time we've seen the Hoop -de-doo. its definitly slapstick comedy but its really a good time and great food. I completely reccomend it. We will always go when we visit. :)
I give it two thumbs up!

I made my ressie for 8:50pm at the California Grill on a night when fireworks are at 10pm. Did I do okay??
Or if our meal seems like it's going too fast should we just chew slower?

That's probably about perfect timing- gives you time for them to be a little behind in getting you seated, too. Unless they're really rushing you, you shouldn't have to chew slower or anything!
And if they are rushing you - just tell them that you're hoping to enjoy your dessert before/during/after the fireworks (you'll know by then which makes most sense) and they should be good with that. (During is best, but only if you have a seat where you can see them without going to the balcony.)
Enjoy the food and the show!

In my limited experience, that's about perfect. They'll not rush you at all...in fact my roommate was bothered by how long it was taking for each course to reach our table until I explained why (they were letting us enjoy and additionally waiting to do another course until after the fireworks). They know full well why you're there at that time. ;) On the other hand they won't know full well what you mean if you simply ask for a window seat. We made that mistake. It turns out there are a lot of windows up there and most of them are not good views of the MK or fireworks. If you want a specific view, ask for it specifically (and be prepared to wait for a while...in fact it wouldn't hurt to show up a bit early for your ADR if you're planning on asking for a view). Otherwise, you'll be stuck going out to the patio for fireworks viewing which would be fine except that our waitress told us it sometimes is a madhouse out there and additionally, smoking is allowed out there, so depending on how you feel about that... (I'm a smoker, so I was thrilled to not have to go all the way downstairs and outside the hotel to be able to indulge my habit. Others may feel differently.)
