I heard on the news this morning that the Los Angeles something or other ( don't remember if it was LAPD, Sheriff, Dist. Atty...) is iniating a crackdown on Hollywood clubs admitting minors. Apparently Ms. Lohan not only shouldn't have been served liquor, she shouldn't have even been allowed to enter the establishment.
Hello? That horse is so far out of the barn you'll have to look in Chicago for him...
I think it's called "ABC" for Alcohol something something.
So the other night I was in the car and Kent Shocknek came on the radio and normally I roll my eyes HARD when he starts spewing his "wisdom" on the rest of us... I considered turning it down or changing the station - literally. But I listened. He said there was a newspaper article that quoted this agency as saying that they "couldn't be everywhere all the time." He pointed out that they didn't need to really wonder where to go since these underage people are photographed and publicized at these establishments ALL THE TIME.
Yeah, it's not exactly a secret.
I don't know who disgusts me more - the places that knowingly violate the laws because she's a celebrity or the agencies whose job it is to keep these people in line.
No wonder Paris doesn't think the government should hold her accountable for her actions!

In other news... a horse was found wandering the streets just outside Chicago. Witnesses said the horse looked dazed, confused, and perhaps slightly intoxicated...

There are actually attorneys for these clubs out there trying to do damage control... They're trying to suggest that these clubs didn't provide alcohol to Lindsay Lohan.
Puh-lease.... How stupid do they think we are? Their employees absolutely knew that girl was in the club drinking. BOO HOO.
No one wants responsibility.
Don't get sober. Don't do your jail time. "Oh, we didn't do anything illegal!"
All of these people SUCK. On EVERY side.
Adrienne
Kudos to Lindsay Lohan and her team for admitting that she has a medical problem.

How could they deny it?

I think it's called "ABC" for Alcohol something something. Adrienne
In North Carolina, it stands for Alcohol Beverage Control. Despite being in the Bible Belt, our stores are seriously beautiful, and very well-attended, and that includes the stereotypical blue-haired ladies.
I'm not a teetotaler, but the kicker to our ABC stores is that the proceeds of the sales goes to...
THE SCHOOLS!!!
OK, I shouted, but if that's not ridiculously outrageous, I don't know what is.
Talk about a mixed, bad message, and here it is, in the South.
(And I mean no disrespect to the absolutely lovely blue-haired women of my area--I adore them, and don't think they even know where the profits go.)

I hear that Lindsay's mother is in negotiations (or maybe closed the deal, I'm not sure) for a "reality" show about how she's going to make stars out of Lindsay's younger sisters just like she did for Lindsay.
So. Lindsay's currently locked up in rehab and her mother's setting out to do it all over again.
I think they admitted the wrong Lohan to Promises.

Well, maybe not the wrong one, but maybe they could have gotten a 'buy one get one free' deal?

Lord.
My eyes are rolling in the back of my head at that post about Lindsay's mother.
Great. Let's get the other kids addicted too.
Will she stop at nothing to become famous on Lindsay's coattails?
Last time Lindsay was in rehab, Dina got the crew of one of those TV shows (ET or the Insider, I think) to follow her as she visited her daughter in rehab.
As a parent, would you do something that stupid?
That woman is a piece of work. Really.

I'm sure she'll keep bouncing in and out of rehab whenever anyone else tells her she should go (for publicity reasons) -- but the rehab won't "stick" until she really acknowledges the fact that she has a problem & needs help. Hopefully she can pull herself out of this mess before she winds up dead in a hotel room (heaven forbid).
Or kills someone else while driving when intoxicated. :crying:
With all the 'excuses' her handlers/mother have for her...she isn't very likely to take accountability for her actions...yet.
Who knows if she's hit her bottom or not. That's when most people realize they need help, or believe they need to get their act together. Let's just hope she doesn't kill someone else while she continues to drift downward. When she finally hits her bottom...hopefully she'll be ready to dig her way back up...to accountability and sobriety. Then we all have to hope she stays to it. :|
It's tricky disease.
It's a disease resistant to treatment...and always ready to lash out again (even after a long period of obstaining). :(
