WOW! It looks like A LOT of fun.

I'm kinda jealous of these "grown-up" itineraries. The only thing that I noticed that you might want to look at is the amount of time you're going to spend "hopping."

I LOVE the idea of breaking the day up but on Saturday, it looks like you're starting at AK, then hopping to the resort, then hopping to MGM, then hopping to EPCOT and then hopping to Pleasure Island.

If you're renting a car, that might be okay but if you're relying on Disney Transportation, your going to spend ALOT of time waiting on buses or other transportation. It might eat up quite a bit of your day. Most of the other days look fine to me but I'd probably try to limit my "hops" to no more than three per day.

Then again, it might work out just fine. It will all depend on crowd levels. Whatever happens, you're going to have a GREAT time.

I agree with you on all counts 4walls -
VERY JEALOUS!! :) Our trip isn't until December. :crying:
Imagine that hopping around might cause a bit of concern with time lines and expectations however you have a good amount of days in which to spend your time. My advice (never requested :p ) is stick to what you have planned, at least for the first day or so - if you think the hopping is intruding upon your fun time -maybe consider changing things up a bit.

WISH YOU A FABULOUS VACA!!!!!!

Wednesday- EPCOT after landing, Le Cellier @6, Wishes

What time do you land? Are you renting a car or working with Disney Transportation from park to park?

I've never finished an evening at one park and started at the same park the next day. Anyone I've gone with (and myself) are not morning people and I discovered it's easier to get out of bed when it's a park you are excited about. LOVE Le Cellier - great choice!

Friday- Backstage Magic Tour all day, Crystal Palace @7 pm, Wishes

Jealous on the tour! Good combination for the day!

Saturday- AK morning, pool time, MGM for Star Wars Weekend, Rose and Crown @6, Pleasure Island

Star Wars Weekends are much better if you start at that park. If you plan on getting any autographs morning is a must. How much of a SW fan are you and what do you plan on doing while there?

Sunday- EPCOT morning, Sci-Fi @12:30, more star wars stuff, MK for the night

Three parks in one day. There may be too much travel time to take in everything and feel relaxed at the end.

Monday- Galley for breakfast, Richard Petty Driving Experience, Touring all the resorts, Pleasure Island

Great idea to spend a day away from the parks and still get your fill of Disney.

Wednesday- AK morning, Whispering Canyon @ 1:30, MK for the final night

With an ADR at 1:30 you need to leave AK by 12:45 - does that give you enough time to see everything? Possibly better to do MK in the morning also and take the boat MK/WL and back. Possibly you could swap the first Thursday morning with this Wednesday morning? Less travel and a little more AK time?

Thursday- MK morning, before we take the magical express around 4 :crying:

Great idea to finish at MK and with being one of your favorite parks.

I hope my comments don't come across poorly. As a WDW planning freak I've done every combination of parks / meals / events / and recreation over the years and there are some choices that we made that just didn't work out. I look at your plans from how we would like them so the most important thing is that YOU and MOM have a great time at WDW!!

WOW!! Can I just take you with me for my trip? You’re a live version of a travel guide!!!
We land at noon-ish, and we're taking the magical express, this is what we've done in the past, it’s kinda a fist day tradition, so I know it will be ok.

The plan was to get up early, for the extra magic hours, and then come back for the afternoon for some pool time and a nap, and then go back out for dinner and the rest of the night. At least that’s the plan for now; it will most likely get altered as we're there.

I'll admit it, I love Star Wars! My mom got me hooked as a kid, so I think you’re right, that maybe starting would be a better plan!

Thanks for all the help, I can’t wait to go!! I’ve been counting down the days for almost a year!!

Thanks for the kind words.

When we do EMH (sometimes we do both the morning and evening EMH in one day!) that just gives us a little more rest time in between - we don't squeeze a third park in there. That dip in the pool and quick nap at your room will help make the evening park you go to just that much more enjoyable.

Also I just noticed that you will be at Epcot six of your eight park days. Possibly another reason to spend a little more time there over four or five days and try for more SWW or MK time. (I believe the Backstage Magic tour requires you to be at Epcot start / end correct?)

If you are both SW fans then at a minimum go when it opens and catch the parade. Also be sure to get a shirt... one of them this year has a huge rebel logo on it with Mickey in an x-wing outfit in front of it - possibly the best looking SWW shirt with Mickey on it ever!!

I would also caution you about all the hopping you're planning, but agree with Tink77 who suggested you try your plan the first day or two and then adjust if needed. We just got back (5/16-21) and I started out all gung-ho for hopping around, but Disney Transportation isn't always as convenient or quick as you might like--I'll still use it in the future, you just have to make some concessions. We went to one park in the morning, to the resort late afternoon to change, and then back out for the night every day, and that wasn't too bad, but when we added extra hops, like a trip to a water park, it burned alot of time. We got tired of losing vacation time waiting around and riding around. Have fun!!

i think i'll change it to less hops...
what water park did you go to? I'm debating if i want to go to one? how much time did you spend at it? would you suggest it?

We went to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, but because it got cool and breezy just when we decided to go to a water park both days, we only stayed for about an hour both times. If the weather is hotter next week than it was when we went, I enjoy the waterparks and would recommend at least one visit if it's worth the extra money to you. When you're wilted from the heat and your feet are killing you, some water downtime can really rejuvenate you. Are you getting the PLUS options with your passes or will you just pay for a stand-alone ticket? If you get the Plus option, I would recommend going to the park of your choice early in the morning, then head to a water park around 1pm for a few hours, then back to your resort to get ready for your night. That worked well for me on previous trips. However if waterparks aren't that important to you or you don't want to spend the extra money, an hour or two at your resort pool can accomplish just as much. Have fun! Send us a trip report when you get back. I'm still working on mine...

As far as the water parks, we love 'em both. Adding on the water parks and more option to a MYW tickets is about the same cost as a one day admission to TL or BB, so if you want to try both that's the way to go. I think BB's slides are better than TL, but if you want a BIG wave pool, TL is definitely the way to go, it also has snorkeling in shark reef. If money isn't too tight, I'd work in at least a 1/2 day at a water park. Unfortunately, our upcoming trip is the first we won't be adding on the WP&M option, we'll see how much we miss it...:crying:
