Good point Gusman. It is important to me that we arrive in the late morning-afternoon. I don't want to be starting out our trip exhausted just to save a little money. That's why it's important to me to know departure and arrival times before I book. We'll be flying out of GRR (Grand Rapids, MI), and I don't believe they have Southwest.

If you are in GR, MI... looks like your only chance for a non-stop flight is by flying NWA. Everything else is going to take you through a hub of sorts.

If you are not a regular flyer, check your home airport's website for the airlines that the airport services. There are websites that compare fares for the major airlines, but some value airlines, like Southwest, would not be listed. My default airline is now Southwest, and I book my travel dates as soon as they open up. This site usually posts when new booking dates on Southwest open up. I've also gotten good fares on AirTran, but I've had the best experiences with Southwest. My husband travels quite a bit on business, and has had some terrible experiences with our main airline through our home airport, and has talked his employer into just letting him book on Southwest, rather than using their travel agent.
