FYI for anyone buying tickets for friends - max number of tickets you can buy is 15, no more than 8 for a particular night.
I noticed that; had to do two transactions.

Got mine!!! Did it via the web. By the way, in addition to AP holders, Disney VISA holders can get in on the offer.

Hmmm, interesting that they didn't close that loophole so you couldn't go over the limit by doing it separately. Unless you used Jen's AP the second time.

How did you find out that Disney Visa holders get it early too? I have a Disney visa but received no notice about that, so I'm wondering if most visa holders even know.

How'd you get tickets for the 25th? That's not one of the dates listed as being an event date.

Nope, but these were two separate dates so the limit I ran into was the 15-per-transaction, not the 8-per-AP-per-date.

I have a Disney visa but received no notice about that, so I'm wondering if most visa holders even know.I called the 714-781-4400, and asked about if they have to be an AP, and the phone person said Either AP or if you pay with your Disney Visa. I asked when they would be offering to the General Public, and they said they didn't know.

It wasn't listed, but when I went to buy them, they had that date available!

I purchased 8 tickets for Friday, Oct. 19th. for my family online this morning. Now the fun begins with deciding what we'll be this year. Is anyone else going on the 19th??

Is this event good for us Disney Fanatics who don't have small children?
Or is it just for little ones?

Hubby and I went to the event last year.....no little ones. We had fun :)

Hubby and I went to the event last year.....no little ones. We had fun :)We have tix for the 29th. (I bought 14, and am hoping I have enough...) We are taking my nephew (4 then) who has never been before and his sister (6, we took her last year), probably their mom and my mom to help with the younger 2 (1 and 2). I still have 6 tix, but I know either my brother and his crew, or my sister and her crew will want to join us. I cant wait!

We are going on either the 5th or the 12th, depending on when certain other events may have us in Southern California.

Mommy loves Halloween. :p :DWe will be there too!!!! Look for us, we won't be hard to find, I *think* I am going to try and talk my daughter into dressing our older pup as Sleeping Beauty. We will have just gotten a second pup, so depending on if its male or female, it may be a princess or a prince. Will see what MDM will let me do....

From what I experienced, I thought 2005 and 2006 were kind of the same for the most part. But my son was two and three at the time, so he didn't wanna do any of the activities. We basically just did the trick or treat, got a bunch or candy and then my little one was out!

I thought that the 2nd year was better attended (read that as more people at the event) and that there were more decorations - lights - areas to roam.
I also think there were more characters out the 2nd year.

I am hoping that each year will see additions to this event.
Last year Disneyland decorated mainstreet for the 1st time. I am anxious to see what is added THIS year to the Trick-or-Treat Event.

Advance purchase savings available with valid Annual Passport until one day prior to event date and may not be combined with other discounts or promotions.

Interesting to note that they've now changed this sentence. It now reads as follows:

Advance purchase savings available with valid Annual Passport until July 31, 2007 and may not be combined with other discounts or promotions.

And I know there is absolutely no guarantee. But would any of these weekends be a potential MouseAdventure weekend? I ask only because if they are, we'll get Friday tickets and do a long weekend at the parks.

As for the candy, we got so much that we ended up giving most of out to the trick or treaters that showed up at our house on Halloween night.

As AVP says...

I can now definitively say that the event will NOT be anytime between October 20th and November 12th.
...
We're really not trying to be cryptic. We have three dates in mind, but Disney can't confirm any of them until 90 days before the event. We won't know for over two months if our first possible date is going to be available, so sit tight.

MA will not be between October 20th and November 12th. That pretty much leaves the weekend of October 7th or 14th. But I am NOT making any announcements, nor should you spend any money or book any hotels or airfare based on anything I'm saying.

I'm going on the 5th with the husband and maybe friends. I'm going on the 31st with a friend. I might be going on the 26th. I had thought I might be going on the 19th, but then I realized I already have plans for that night.

October is going to be one super-busy month.

Public sale will be in August!!!!Yep! Luckily, I got mine this am. We got 14 tickets for the 29th! I'm hoping to know a final head count soon, so if I need more, I can get them before the public sale (and increase in price.)

does this mean that this is the last AP date - that the public gets access as of August 1st.

Yep, and if I remember from last year correctly, prices will go up $5.
