My wife and i are retruning to the UK in August after nearly 4 years of living overseas and to cheer ourselves up we're thinking of buying annual passports at DLP. Thanks to this site we have managed to find out info on the tickets etc but we can't find out any info on the rack rates for the hotels as the offical site only seems to list hotel rates as part of a package. Does anyone know where we can find the room only rates for the hotels so we can work out if its worth getting an annual pass or whether we're better off getting the special offers through out the year. thanks.

I think that the AP will give you discounts on the rooms, but you'll probably have to call DLP directly to book them.

You can also book room-only via Expedia (try expedia.co.uk).

There are other very good offsite options for lodging (and better, too, IMHO!).

I've been looking at vrbo.com to find a vacation rental rather than a hotel but obviously Parisians aren't all that impressed with their Disneyland... at least I can't find any mention of locations convenient to DLP transport or even proximity to DLP. I can't even find a map of the countryside!

Anyone have an idea of what arrondissament (neighborhood) would be best?

Yep, but they might not include park tickets in the rate.

I didn't get much sense of 'neighborhood' around DLP...we took the RER in/out of Paris from DLP. Seemed kinda like DLP was built out in the countryside and it's growing out from Paris toward it, but it's still a bit out there.

That said, there are some vacation rental-type places available. One, that can be found on the DLP website under 'other hotels' is the Pierre & Vacances Aparthotel. I think there are other similar types of places available. We did not stay in the P&V, so I can't attest to its quality, but you could check tripadvisor.

You might find more expansive lodging info on some of the other message boards, too.
