I've got an extra day on my upcoming Florida trip, and don't know whether to stock it with Busch Tampa (which I saw in 1994) or SeaWorld Florida (which I've never seen, though I've been to the San Diego version).

What advice can anyone give me on this?

Busch Gardens Tampa is a kind of "Animal Kingdom". I think it started as a combo zoo and brewery (well, hospitality house at least). Now it has rides, and some of the best ever (Kumbaa will kick your butt as a standup, and Montu is my #1 inverted).

Sea World FLA is supposed to have some sort of Atlantis-themed ride, or some such, that is supposed to be good. I know nothing about it, such as if it's worth it. More to the point, if the rest of SWFlorida is the same as SWSanDiego, then I'll skip it.

I would have to say my vote goes to Busch Gardens. The rollercoasters are awesome, the water rides are great and they just opened Rhino Rally. Sea World is a beautiful park although Kraken is one hell of a coaster. Enjoy your trip!!! :D

I'd say, go to Busch Gardens Tampa. Not only does it have the wildlife, it has the wild rides! Kumba (a sit-down, not stand-up), Montu, Gwazi, Rhino Rally! Cool Rides, Great Theming!! BGT all the way!

Go to tampa. it has some of the top coasters and has more attractions than Sea World. I have gone to Sea World when the Atlantis attraction was getting compleated but I didn't like the place. At least thats my opinion.

Go to Tampa... the Atlantis ride at Sea World is great but it took me 3 visits before I could ride it because it was broken. With the exception of Atlantis and the new coaster, Sea World is very much like Sea World San Diego although it might be interesting to see Discovery Cove some day.
