Has anyone booked their child on this yet? I had a CM explain it to me when I was making my ADRs and it sounded like it could be a lot of fun, so I booked my 9 year old son for it in July. I'm wondering if anyone has done it already and if there's any input on it. I'm wondering if he'll really enjoy it, or if time would be better spent on something else.

Where does this one leave from? There are people who have done one of the Pirates cruises, but I don't want to send you to those threads if you're doing a different one. (The kids all LOVED it, from what's been posted! If we'd had more time when I was there, this would have been on the list!)

I'm pretty sure they said this one launches from Carribbean Beach Resort, it's for kids up to 10 years old, no parents allowed. They launch off to a little island (everyone must wear a life vest, and all the CMs are lifeguard/CPR trained, according to the CM I spoke with) and every child gets to search for and find some buried treasure. It's about 2 hours long and costs about $28 or so. I should have put that in my first post!

It sounds alot like the Pirate Cruise except that one took off from the Grand Floridian. Does the Carribean Beach even have a place to launch a boat?

Anyway, my boys did the Pirate Cruise last April and had a blast. They got cute little Pirate Mickey ears, sailed off on the ship with a big Pirate flag ontop, went off to an island to search for treasure, ate lunch there and came home with a cute treasure box filled with goodies. It was their favorite thing that we did there.
