My girls trip ended up being just 1 other pilot wife and I, which was fine. She and I got along great, and it was basically her first time, she hadn't been to DLR in 24 years!!!
We caught a 7am flight from PHX to SNA, I flew to PHX on Sunday night, Monday morning and arrived at the hotel about 9, Super Shuttle was fast, we were last ones on it, first ones off. We dropped our bags at HoJos, room wasn't ready and headed to the park. She decided to just get a 1 day, 1 park ticket, which worked out fine. We headed down Main Street, she looked at the map and decided on Space as our first ride. Line was about 30 mins. so we got fast passes. We went over to Buzz, 5 min. wait and then after that, had a 10 min wait for Star Tours. By the time we looked in the shops there in Tomorrowland, and used the bathroom, it was time for our Space FPs. She was so impressed that we didn't have to wait in the long line. I was very disappointed in Rockin' Space Mountain. It took away from the whole theme of the ride, although the actual riding part was fun, the lights were too bright so you could see too much inside, and I really like all the space sounds etc. I will be glad when it is back to normal. We were hungry, so we got some popcorn, went to Toontown and got FP for Roger Rabbit. While we were waiting we shopped a bit then went to meet Mickey, the wait was about 10 mins., we had to get a photo. It was time for our FPs and she liked Roger. We went on iasw and then walked through Fantasyland. Decided not to do anything in there since we were without kids and wanted to hit all the big stuff, lines were pretty long in FL. We had lunch reservations at BB so we got there a few mins early and relaxed. Had a nice lunch, both of us got the Monte Cristo. We LOL at the new salad, it just looked funny, dressing was yummy though. We wandered through NOS and then headed to HM. After that we went over to Pooh, to look in the shop there. Headed back over to BTMRR, grabbed FP and then went to Indy. Line said 20 mins. they gave us a little pass to give to the CM when we boarded the ride, so they could check time, it actually only took us 9 mins. in line. She LOVED that ride. Shopped some more, time for our BTMRR FP and then we decided to head to DTD. On our way, we stopped at Matterhorn, it had a minor problem, but was back up and running in about 5 mins. I really like Matterhorn. We headed to Monorail and took a ride to DTD. We walked through GCH and then shopped. Headed back to DLR to shop on Main Street, and saw the Tiki Room. Watched a bit of the POD and then back to DTD for dinner at Naples. Shared a salad and pizza, so yummy! Park was closing in about 30 mins. so we decided to call it a night, we had been up since 4:30am and went back to the hotel. We chatted a bit and were in bed by 10:30. Her flight was 10:30am so Super Shuttle picked her up at just before 8. I got ready after she left and headed to the park, my shuttle wasn't until 1:30. I went in to DLR for a bit, and got the things I had been meaning to buy, a muffin at the bakery too. DCA had opened so I wandered through there. I ate at Taste Pilot's, I thought the burger was good, wanted to try it again with all the bad press it hadn't gotten on here lately. Went back to DL and caught the 50 years show, in case it is gone when we go back in the fall and left to go back to the hotel to get my shuttle. I really felt like we accomplished a lot, considering that HoJo was full the night we stayed, I didn't think the parks were all that crowded. The weather was perfect, it was a great trip.
One observation, maybe this has been discussed, Ariel was missing from POD. That was the float that was right in front of us on the stop, so we turned our attention over to the Pinnochio float, those jumping puppets were very entertaining!

I never heard/saw it discussed but my daughter was CRUSHED to tears by this! At least yesterday I held a spot in line about 40 minutes before noon so she could be SURE to see Ariel!

You must have been near me at some point lol

Ariel was missing from the float? How odd. I know that cm's are people, and they call in sick now and then but it seems like they would have a back up or two.

That is exactly what I thought! From way on top of that float she wouldn't even have to look that much like Ariel... you'd think they'd find someone else to do it.
