My husband and I just came back from a spring break trip to Disneyland with our four children ages 7years, 5years, turning 3years, and 11 weeks. I was worried about the two of us keeping track of all four when they might go a dozen different ways at the same time in the crowds and get lost!

On previous DL trips we paid for and took along a pre-teenaged neighbor, childless sister or our nanny, but this time no one was available so after searching the MousePad for ideas we called the Fullerton Childcare Agency 714-528-1640. After a few days of telephone-tag, the owner called me back and we arranged for one of her women to meet us at the front gate and to tag along with us in the park (the breastfeeding newborn needed to be with us, toddler will nap in stroller and older two liked the "big" rides with Mom&Dad). They have a four hour minimum and their rates are reasonable.

Everything worked out well, we were happy with the service and would use it again and promised to post our recommendation on MousePlanet. The agency answering service was polite and thorough, the owner understood and met our needs, the woman that came out was great with the kids and nervous mom and even won over 'don't-think-we-need-the-help' dad!

I posted the title as "childcare, babysitting, nanny, Mother's Helper, Fairy Godmother" to help others in their search for "HELP with children and baby in the park"!

Did you have to pay for her ticket to the parks as well?
Is this the same service used by the Disneyland hotels?
Did she just go with you guys throughout the park or did she go off with the kids?
This is an interesting option! Would love to hear more!

Just FYI, it's only in PITP because we don't use cross-posting at MousePad.

We originally asked the Agency for someone with a season pass, but when the woman came out she didn't have one anymore so we were trying to deciede if we'd buy another ticket (for the 4 days we were going to be there!) or just have her hang out in downtown Disney/at our hotel with the baby and call us when the baby needed feeding but then she said she'd been thinking about buying a pass since she lives so close and has been asked by others to go into the park with kids and bought a much less expensive "local resident" pass!

I don't know who the hotels use, we didn't ask and weren't staying on-site this visit.

She stayed with us since we have an 11week old, but would have gone off with the older ones if we'd wanted. She did go on a couple rides with us that the baby could go on so each of the 3 older kids had an adult sitting with them, but mostly she sat near the ride we were standing in line for, with the baby napping in the stroller. Our kids are only 2yrs apart in age and close in height and 'daring' so went on most rides together and we didn't need to "split up" the family.

It was a good thing we had her, during hour #3 we did have an episode of "where did the 3 year old disappear to??" while waiting in an extended rope line for the Aladdin Oasis show. I was able to leave the napping baby in stroller with her and the ants-in-pants 5year old with my husband who was looking around and search while the 7yr old kept our spot in line (thanks to the family just behind us!!) until we found our missing child--who had gone back over to where the stroller+baby were to get her water and the woman was smart to keep the 3yr old there and called us on our cell phone!

Thanks for the info! This might be a great option for me to bring both kids to the park! I have no other need for child care, but it is getting a bit overwhelming to go to the park w/ a 8 month old and a very active 2 yo. :)

Anyone else have any other recommendations???

Koala:

We got our nanny from a fabulous agency. I'm sure they could be helpful in finding someone to go to the parks.

If you are interested, PM me and I will give you their info.

Hi,

Does anyone have recommendations for babystting services in the Disneyland area? Has anyone used Fullerton Chilcare Agency?

Thank you!

There was a post just the other day under parenting in the park about childcare and the fullerton child care center. The post stated that the childcare worker went to the park with them everyday. Hope that helps.
